Purity - How much activated charcoal for caffeine removal

Hi guys I haven't been around for some time and I just red about codeine extraction from caffeine/codeine solution and I'm so happy. Now I found some activated charcoal but bottle is 250 mg. How much should I use for 200-300mg codeine?

SWIM doesn't think you got the right kind...
SWIM thinks you need the activated charcoal in a filter form, not powdered...
Sorry if SWIM is not making any sence but he's on 350mg of codeine right now...

yes ıts good ıf ıts f.e. ın a brıck form or sımılar, for fılterıng. not sure though, swım hasnt tested ıt hımself hes happy he never needed to do so, just water was always enough

What swim did was crush active charcoal to fine powder, put it in filter, wash it real good to make sure only water is going out then filter the cwe mixture trough it

results are awesome. You get perfectly clear liquid, bitter as hell, with minimal dose of caffeine, and it still packs a punch

can SWIM do the same thing for ketamine? swim has ket cut with caffeine and wants to get rid of the caffeine.. so can swim do the above but just dissolve the ket in water first, then run through the charcoal filter?

The charcoal will trap/adsorb the codeine molecules jeust as well as the caffine. The Xanthine base structure is smaller than the phenanthrenebase structure of the codeine. Charcoal is also given in the case of overdose, think about it

I concur 100% with Davestate on this - in Accident & Emergency Depts of NHS Hospitals activated charcoal solutions are given routinely for a wide range of oral overdoses ( including Codeine) if those substances have been taken within an hour of presenting at the hospital .

wrong. the charcoal wont absorve morphine or codeine..

It doesn't absorb, it adsorbs. And it's a first line choice in oral overdose, when administered shortly after ingestion reduces blood concentrations, proven in writing.

Well, I don't know why but swim never got any effects after filtering through activated charcoal...
