End Dxm Trip With Diphenhydramine

SWIM has had many times where he would take diphenhydramine when he is at the end of a dxm trip , and has noticed that the diphenhydramine hits almost immediately after swallowing the pills(about 1-2 minutes) the DIPH does not take on its full effect but it completely ends the dxm trip(begins a rather subtle relaxation, sedative effect) but about 15 minutes later the full effect kicks in. SWIM was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

P.S. the diph seems to be so much more pleasant when SWIM does this.
