Ok, so blue rabbit (currently living in Argentina): "bought some weed and it turned out to be this bloc --->. It looks sort of ok, but it has some white stuff on top and a bit of a soapy smell along with the normal smell. What do you lads think? Now people apparently smoke this shite here, should I??? I know soapbar is the devil but its hard to find decent herb here, is there any chance I'm just being too picky?"

Hey, I live in Chile, and that shit comes through here all the time. They call it porro, for paraguayan, where it is grown. It is widely known that it comes with a few extra things besides marijuana such as glue. Some porro doesn't have chemicals, but if it smells like soap it is extremely likely that it does.

Damn! My pet pterodactyle has always been told that Chilean and Argentinean weed sucked, but he never thought it was that bad! Thank god he lives in Peru where good chronic is quite easy to find and is quite cheap in comparison to other places, even the Netherlands where he went to college. If I where SWIY I would seriously consider taking some vacations to Peru, it's only a 3 hour flight.

Although some bits, (especially those that look like acorn shells in image 5) do not look anything like weed, other bits do look like buds, even if not the highest quality buds.

SWIM would suggest the white areas be removed as they look like mould and the remaining block be broken up and an extraction performed. If SWIY has done a butane ( see HBO honey bee oil) extraction before and the block can be torn apart sufficiently SWIM would suggest it be used. If it cant be torn apart enough or SWIY is not familiar with HBO extractions SWIM might suggest using an ethanol (or high proof alcohol) extraction.
The resulting THC oil and potentially adulterants could then be judged separately away from this compressed block. SWIM IS NOT saying the product of any extraction would definitely be safe to smoke, but it would cut out alot the plant matter.

Although the soap smell is far from encouraging could it have been where it has been stored or what it has been transported with that has given it this?

Your blue rabbit would be wise to rid itself of that item. The supposed 'cannabis' appears to be moldy, diluted with other herbs, and of extremely low quality. A butane or hexane extraction could result in a quality hash but it is more likely that the whole brick will yield little if any THC. Throw it out.

good god, swim has seen schwag that looks forty times better than that...
throw it away and go find decent bud from local growers... or better yet, do what one of swims lab-cats does, and grow a small time operation for all the other cats. High quality, lo price cannabis in a group of friends is a great thing (swim just got some lovely natural mystic strain that the grow cat has been breeding... yummy)

Isopryl alcohol kills mold. That doesn't mean if you use alcohol on it its safe to smoke by any means, this shit should be thrown away and i wouldnt recommend anyone smoke it, even at a desperate moment, smoking resin from a pipe would probably be cleaner.

But since everyone agrees to just throw it away i would experiment with it first and try grinding like a OZ of it up and using a shitload of alcohol and putting it in a dark place. Use a container that is closed and is tall like a mason jar that way the alcohol wont evaporate, after about a month or however long you wish to let it sit strain the container into a more open surface container and see how pure the extraction looks.

Hate to waste it i know but it really looks like throwing it away is the best thing, play around with it atleast. Butane extraction would also be a good idea as stated above, just to see what the honey oil is gonna look like.

If you can get pure honey oil out of it like golden oil maybe you could try a little but still mainly for experimenting purposes this is a serious health risk IMO and the dealer sucks.

If you could get some seeds out of the block that arent damaged you might could grow a decent plant or to.

All in all, even after extraction process and playing around with it i would throw it away and not use anything that came from it.

swim is from brazil and weed there usually looks like that
its mostly crap the drug dealers have huge outdoor crops and when its harvest time they juck pick everything ( stem , leafes , male plants , and other shit that is not even cannabis ) press it into bricks so its more easy to move around

swim has seen ( potent) west african and also colombian weed which looked just like this in western europe, in the 1990's.
wasn't sinsemilla, dried and compressed, had a few leaves but was still surprisingly strong.
