Experiences - LSD Caused Reoccuring Coincidences

One time SWIM ate a tab and a half of LSD (it was a geltab...)(SWIM also believed SWIM was dosed the whole time SWIM was at this location (4 days), and had a horrible trip.. a mixture of SWIM being in a very traumatic situation where he almost killed himself, an uncomfortable enviroment, unprepared for it, (this was assisted by others, they put the general ideas in SWIM's head) and also the people there picked apart SWIM repressed fears.

SWIM then found himself lost in coincidences in life.. meaning the people said things such as SWIM was gonna blow up his house, (SWIM showed up at his families house for the first time in 6 months with only a bible), SWIM awoke the next morning with a movie on TV about a kid taking a hallowed out Kuraan into a building and blowing it up.

SWIM has dreams that come true and show him things in his life.. such as people saying things that is then repeated by them at a later date, and SWIM finds random bits of information in the conversations of others that relate strangely to his life.

SWIM also has had multiple other run ins with strange coincidences, and when he trips.. people take on roles of their past lives, or other peoples lives and say things that could terrify anyone in the mind state...

SWIM wonders if this is from the LSD? or if this is just coincidental? Did SWIM fuck his head up for life? it's been a month and SWIM's head isn't back to normal yet.. strange things at work (SWIM is a telephone relay workier) still talk about the same prophecies and throw in elements of the trip every now and then.

SWIM has constant paranoia, and fear from the PTSD induced, but is that strong enough to make my brain relate random things to such a situation?

This is the type of situation where different people may tell you different things, but here is my opinion and advice to you.

Yes, LSD can cause coincidences to seem like they are profoundly meaningful. It can raise fascinating questions about how various things are connected. But sometimes it is better to view them as merely coincidences and nothing more.

It is advisable for you to stop taking LSD for now. Maybe for quite a while. SWIM went through one period in his life where he did not take psychedelics for years. And he has no regrets about that - it was the right thing for him to do. You will know for sure when it's time to start again (if it ever is).

The fear and paranoia that you are experiencing will probably not get better if you continue to use LSD. They will get worse. But if you stop now and do the things you need to do to live a healthy life then you will probably be just fine.

For now just concentrate on your health - start a good exercise program if you're not already on one. Eat healthy foods. And spend your time and energy concentrating on something that seems healthy and good to do, whether that be your social life, your work, your hobbies, or whatever.

SWIM was worried about going crazy.. no other posts on the forums speak about this haunting a person lol and it's driving SWIM insane.

SWIM agrees, all psychedelics are a nw a no go to SWIM, and SWIM is grateful.

Naah, don't worry about going crazy. LSD and other psychedelics can sometimes have these types of effects. But they'll go away, and you'll be fine as long as you take care of yourself. Just be smart and do what you gotta do to keep your mind and body healthy.

One needs a strong sense of self devoid of personal fears when taking psychedelics to weather the "fathom hell" side of the equation. Especially if taking them around people with a malevolent nature.

I concur - SWIM is well-advised to stop. At least for now. And find some better folk to hang out with. This crew sounds like as much fun as a case of pernicious anemia.

SWIM is looking forward to it, "normal" that is.. haha , SWIM is glad he found this place.. without it SWIM might have stayed in the dark for too long.

SWIY needs to stop using all psychedelics for as long as it takes to feel "normal" again. SWIY is very young and will have plenty of time to experiment in the future. And don't worry, SWIY is not messed up for life, and is not going crazy. SWIM's good friend once had a very bad reaction to a combination of drugs (also taken in a bad situation), that messed her up for several months. During the worst of it she worried that she had done permanent damage, but it got better in time and she was perfectly fine afterwards. It seems to SWIM that very powerful drug experiences can temporarily rewire the brain.

SWIM recommends that SWIY find some new friends (who don't take drugs maybe), and do things to keep SWIYself occupied. Don't dwell on it, it will only add to the confusion. Later on when SWIY's head has cleared, SWIY can analyze it and maybe learn from it. Good luck to SWIY.

SWIM has been seeing people in dreams, before meeting them since he was a little kid. Sounds like SWIY found a glitch in the matrix! But yea, a break from these chemicals should be good. SWIM tries to find a balance between exercise and drugs because they seem to be the most undisaplined parts of is life. Not to mention SWIM definately feels "different" for weeks after, and has had random "PING"s in his head where he is gone for only a second/lifetime.

Well SWIM in one highly intense LSD trip was totally fractured. I mean everything was shattered. In the trip SWIM was given a series of visions about his life. One vision was that he would have a child and that child in the vision was "broken". SWIM always remembered this. When SWIMs child was born he was severly disabled and could not and still cannot walk, use his hands or speak from brain damage. Also in the visions SWIM was shown that he would live by the sea. Well ended up living by the sea. Lastly. In the visions SWIM was told that he MUST stop playing the acoustic guitar and only play electric. Or else he would die. Well for many many tears SWIM would not pick up an acoustic guitar. Well finally he bought one and played it. Within a short time disaster came upon his life and everything was lost and SWIM was killed in spirit. Other things happened too.

So either SWIM is making connections that are not there or SWIM is making connections that are there. SWIM thinks that since there is no such thing as time then everything is happening at once. That means everything that will happen has happened before and every thing that has happened before will happen in the future. GEEEEEEZE, This gives SWIM a headache!
