swim is very wired . swim does around 400-700 mg of oxycontin a day. swim has exactly 18 40mg pills and swim has no choice but to kick.need help on a quick taper schedule. like maybe 2 in the morning 2 middle day 2 at night. then one less next day etc . However swim only has 18 40's so realizes some symptoms will occur but a quick withdraw is better than none. swim is neive to taper methods. very weak and usually they all get done in a day. NO WILLPOWER. any help on a 18 pill withdrawel schedule to feel as litte wd as possible is MUCH APPRECIATED. a quick reply is needed please. Thanks all!

Re: need help with a taper schedule PLEASE
Has SwiY tried to kick or actually kicked before?
How long has SwiY had this habbit? Can the use of Suboxone be considered? SwiS has been an IV Heroin user for many years (started with OC's, then switched when not available anymore - common story) and he has kicked many times, sometimes with a short taper, sometimes cold turkey. Always ended up back in the game. Eventually, he decided that a Methadone maintence program would even out the ups/downs and give his life back, and it did. When SwiY posted "No choice but to kick"....Why? The reason SwiS asks is that if SwiY are not quitting because of a true desire, then the outcome is bound to be failure......all but a guarantee. As far as a taper goes, SwiS guesses that a simple linear taper, just reduce daily, possibly save a very small dose for the end, wait a day of sickness and use the small dose to even out....then down to nothing. Is the use of other drugs in the cards for SwiY?? Such as benzos (i.e. Xanax, Ativan, etc.) If so these can be used to ease the pains. Suboxone could also be a huge help, as it will eliminate the pains. As far as the "No Will Power" No Opiate addict ever has any.... Bottomline, first consider the reasoning/motivation for kicking? Consider other options such as getting help, Suboxone, detox center, etc. Good luck!!! SwiS feels the pain! Spyder added 3 Minutes and 26 Seconds later... SwiS just noticed that the location is Canada....Isn't OTC Codine available in Canada? If so, could help with any taper methods? (Maybe not avail. anymore...SwiS isn't sure) Last edited by Spyder; 29-05-2008 at 03:04. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: need help with a taper schedule PLEASE
When you run out of your tabs you can buy some Tramadol to ease those ending symptoms.
It is weak but it can help, and you can buy it everywhere. |
