Are there any legal consequences to testing positive for any drug?

I don't beleive that you get tested for drugs unless there is
suspiscion of use and if thats the case then yes. Correct me if I am
wrong.

Who is testing? That would really help narrow the consequences. I searched this topic forever, and had a hard time

It is possible to be charged with possesion by consumption-

Or to get a DUI because of pot that was smoked yesterday,

"where did you get the drugs?" the police may ask you if a test is dirty.

The domestics, thieving, violent and non-violent crimes, and deaths are preventable.

Yet in the grip of an arguement while under it's influence, it's easy to become violent and enraged.

After questioning people's motives sober, Getting high
I say fuck those questions, if a question arose in my mind, it's because they created it with their cheap, cheesy, unfeeling, uncaring behavior...At least I'm mad, I'm not a total "Oh, she was just calling my man honey because she's caring," sap when I'm high!!!

It creates lies and truths. Be careful.

I am recalling when I was in high school there was a guy that went to a
party and got high and then left and on his way home, he got in a car
accident (killed an elderly woman, her blind husband survived) and the
police forced him to take a blood test casue they thought that he had
something in his system and he did (pot). No charges were ever brought
forward though cause the old womans driving was questionable at best
and it was an icy road, though the most he got for this was getting
suspended from playing on the high school baseball team for three games
(he was the star athlete at my school). Last I heard he got drafted to
the dodgers farm team or something like that.

Oh I was just wondering like if your parents make you
get tested or something, not when you're already in legal trouble or
anything though.</font>

Can parents legally do that to a child of there's? I had a friend whos
mother forced him to take piss tests after she caught him smoking pot,
but I figured if you put up a big enough struggle that they'll never
get ya to do it. Just refuse say its against your constitution rights
or something and if they try to get blood or piss, just squirm and cry
and scream (sounds silly but who is gonna draw blood from a crying
screaming scarred shitless 16 year old). But in this scenario (parents
forcing you for no reason to take a test) I don't think there can be
any legal reprocusions, though your parents can legally sign you into a
rehabilitation center or something like that, then your in trouble (I
have read some horrible horror stories about rehab centers and troubled
teens, not that they are all bad, but it only takes one to ruin the
bunch)

Yeah I've heard stories about rehab centers/boarding schools, but so have my parents so they won't send me away anywhere.

My parents have just been trusting me less and less and today they
confronted me and they were like 'blah blah blah you show all the signs
of using drugs' and they had some other evidence but that's not really
relevant so I won't share that story. Har har.

Yeah, so I was just wondering in case they tested me to see what </span>I've been doing because Swim has only admitted to pot and they don't really believe Swim.

maybe you should try and own up to a few other substances, or all (but
not to the degree that you have actually been taking them) this might
make them trust you again and then they might not make you take the
drug test (which will reveal a lot more of what you have been doing).

Personally, I wouldn't own up to anything more. They're your parents, they want to believe that you're clean.

manda, I thought the exact same thing the first time I saw that commercial. hilarious.

its just an idea, he may not have to many choices. If he lied up to the
point of the test and then they forced him to take it and they found
out he was taking heroin, meth, acid, etc... he's in deep shit, where
as if he owned up and said "yes I smoke pot, I have done speed a few
times, and shrooms a few times" they might nix the idea of a test.
Either way its bad, but owning up might be the easier of the two.

& I don't think they're going to make me take it, I was just
wondering about legal consequences if I did. If anything came up, I
could blame it on laced weed or something.

i honestly dont think that anything can happen unless it's a court ordered drug screen then if you come up positive (at least in the states) you will get sent to a rehab program because they want to prevent any problem with your drug habbit. idk stupid i know but what can u do? dont get caught with drugs

William, IIRC (and I may not be), minors can not be forced to take a
drug test without their consent. To give consent, the minor must do so
under their own free will. Meaning, if a parents says "take a piss test
or we'll ground you," because of the threat of a negative consequence
they can not legally give consent (just as if someone said "have sex
with me or I'll slash your tires," even if the person says yes, it
isn't really considered giving consent, and the person can be charged
with rape).

This topic is discussed briefly in this journal article about home drug
testing, "A Review of Internet-Based Home Drug-Testing Products for
Parents"

You all are such idiots. I'm a parent who recently called the cops and mental health dept to come arrest my son who wasdelusional, with hallucinations (on Meth), claming he had been raped by a meth cook.He hada knife to his throat. He spent 7 days in the state mental hospital to detox. One day home, he is already hanging with his druggie friends. He was raised in a very good home with loving parents, but he started smoking pot. The rest is history. Your parents may care now, but as far as we're concerned, if he chooses to use now, we no longer have this son. He has practically ruined our lives. We still have two other children who have made right choices. Do you think your smoking is worth this? You have been duped by satan's angels with glued on wings! You won't realize it probably until your life is ruined or you are dead. Only God, through Christcan change you. I've turned my son over to Him.
