has anyone tried or know anyone who has tried to make weed extract like they do with salvia?



take an ounce

set aside 1/4

soak and strain the 3/4 remainder in ipa/acetone (like for oil)

boil/evaporate the ipa/acetone to the point where you have just enough
to soak your 1/4 that was set aside and evaporate the remaining
ipa/acetone

now you have a 1/4 of weed that is the potancy of 1oz

You can also use the Butane hash-oil technique described another place in this forum, works great and takes no time. The above mentioned method should probably work too, but I haven't tried it.

the butane method produces oil. I have oil and I perfer the high
to bud. What I was hoping was that the reminader of the dried
bud/leaf would soak up the THC in the ipa. Then dry the THC rich
gerb and smoke. The butane produces too thick of a cubstance to
absorb in the dry product.





BTW is this anything like how they make hash?

No, hash is usually made by sieving the resin from the buds. You can buy hash-makers pretty cheap, it's just a plastic container with a sieve in the middle, you put the weed above the sieve, put the container in the freezer for 30 mins and then shake it. Resin will drop underneath the sieve for you to collect.


Hash oil is quite thick, no matter how you make it, a friend of mine made oil with acetone and it was slightly thinner than Swims butane oil. It might work, try it. Worst case scenario is you'll end up with something that's difficult to smoke in a joint.Edited by: sunyata

I have a fine quality bud but wouls like to meybe put less stress on my lungs



Ys I have tried many different vaporizers.



Some home made some commercial. I really nerver got a good effect
off one. I am ordering the hand held one for $10 looks pretty
cool and easy to use and to control temp, just olwer your flame!)



so get my 5Xweed in that thing and blast off hehe

If you make oil with the butane method, you can smoke it with a hollow pen above aluminum foil, this gives a very small amount of smoke(that nevertheless itches like hell) that will make you very,very high.

I just was in possion of 3 5g bottles of VERY pure honey and the high
is different, but I do like it on ocasion. the bud smack you in
the ass high is what I like hehe.

is that the one that looks kinda like a glass cigg or a bullet shaped
thing? or is it the one thats shaped kinda like a
lightbulb?



either way let me know how it works, id def wanna pick one up. im
in the process of building my own vap from scratch.. we'll see how it
goes...

The first one I had was a soldering iron with and metal bole instead of a tip with a variable voltage control.





the second was a commerical one bought (dasly made the same way)





I was not very inpressed with the buzz I went back to bongs. hot
knives get you blasted and your weed lasts forever butit is harsh,

yea hot knives have given me a high like nothing else, they take it to
another level... Me and my friends made the lightbulb vaporizer last
night and i tried it this morning and it gave me a nice high, but still
different...

yeah one of the things I understand is hard to get right is the temp
you don't want to burn the weed just vapo it. Even still at
proper temp I think I still perfer smoking it. Damn those knives!

i also prefer weed or good hash instead of oil but i also tried the
butane-extracted oil and extracts made with isopropanole or naphta.

the butane method produces a really clean, honey-coloured oil which
contains 60 to 80% canabinoids. other extracts also contain chlorophyll
(e.g. isopropanole) or other oils and waxes (ether for example).

if your starting material is good and its not to much i recommend the
butane method, otherwise i'd use another solvent, because butane is
simply to expensive.

Yeah last time swim did a garbage bag full used the culligan watter bottles as funnels ect.
