Cross-Tolerance

Mushrooms, LSD, 5-MeO-AMT



If SWIM took 5-MeO-AMT one night and then mushrooms and/or LSD the next
night, would there be a significant cross-tolerance? I know the
mushrooms and the 5-MeO-AMT are both tryptamines, so I'd expect some
tolerance, but I was just making sure.

there could very well be tolerance, but i think it depends on the user, personally i build up a cross tolerance very easily, but i have friends that seem like they never build up a tolerance. weather there is tolerance or not, if you havent used it that much, you should have a fun trip. i wouldnt recomend taking any more then you normally would if your not positive about your tolerance

In my experience tryptamine/indole tolerance is immediately and severe,
e.g. doing AMT followed by LSD or shrooms the next day is a waste of
LSD/shrooms. On the other hand phenethylamine tolerance seems to be
much less rapid, I've done various 2C's two or three days in a row with
minimal tolerance buildup, possibly even reverse tolerance. Trypts OTOH
seem to be sensitive to phen tolerance.



In general I think of tryptamines as very "fragile" in that any other
psychedelic I have taken within 1-2 weeks prior may effect the
experience, whereas phens are much more "durable" in that I can take
one the day after another psychedelic and still trip at least somewhat.



This could be just me, though.
