i searched this forum on the term

there are many forms of dipt that are talked about like 4 ho dipt

but not 4 oh dipt

searching this on google and there are only 3 pages and they are nearly all in japanese

there has to be a reason why 4 oh dipt was quoted atXXXX

apologies, SWIM assumed SWIY had made a typo and meant 4-ho-DiPT

perhaps with the expanded chemical name instead of the short hand one would be able to figure out more information? SWIM is unfamiliar with the "oh"

It's a chemical related to chemicals found in mushrooms, (psilocin, psilocybin ect) It has an oxygen at the 4-position instead of 4-HO-DiPT which has hydroxy. It's dosage range is said to be 15-20mg orally. This one is hard to find. Erowid has a report by shulgin and co stating various analogs of chemicals (this one being a psilocybin analog) other than that i cannot find much on this. I'm sure one of the chemistry buffs here can help out more.

forgive me but I searched iprocin on both the forums and web and came up with results saying iprocin = 4-HO-DiPT not the proposed molecule by the OP 4-OH-DiPT.

Thanks , I was beginning to think that given the use of the different abbreviations for the same molecule(4-hydroxy-n, n-diisopropyltryptamine) as I searched on the internet. And the Erowid link provided by samadhi further strengthened the suspicion. I wasn't sure if the lettering switch would mean something other than hydroxy once the OP made the initial suggestion.

er....um....4-OH = 4HO. Same animal. Different shorthand in Chemiclese. OH/HO means Hydroxy. Some spell it out (new-comers to chem) as HO. Older chemists use OH in that it attaches to the parent molecule by the O (oxygen) molecule.

Now excuse me while I go laugh! Ahahahahaha...................
