Opinions - should SWIM let his best friend try cocaine ?

If SWIM was with his best friend (none coke user) and SWIM took a line, then SWIM's friend wanted to indulge to be his first time experiencing, would SWIM let her\him and be the one to introduce SWIM's friend?

SWIM's friend should be introduced to cocaine in it's full-blown glory! Don't let him have ANY! Tell him it's SWIM's. Not his! Or say yes - and then make him wait for hours and hours in the freezing rain to get it. Then don't show up. Next time he is over, SWIM should tell him to go outside and check the roof - SWIM can hear people walking around up there. Then lock him outside.

That should about do it. And SWIM will still have all his precious cargo.

For a while SWIM avoided introducing most of SWIM's good friends to cocaine, because of SWIM's own experience with coke, but SWIM has came to realize that people who want to try coke will eventually do so regardless of SWIM's actions; so, SWIM has given up on stopping people from trying it. SWIY's friend is old enough to be responsible for his actions, so SWIY shouldn't be worried about being indirectly responsible for SWIY's friend's hypothetical future cocaine problems. SWIM has realized that most people SWIM knows who have tried coke did not get addicted. For SWIM, however, it took 3 years to develop the self-control to use cocaine moderately.

Swim had the same exspriense as you his first gram totaly sucked swim did the whole gram in 15 minites i siwm was exspecting to be blown away by cocaine but was wrong When swim purchased his second gram thats when it hit home swim has been doing cocaine for nearly 2 years now simply love the stuff but he has noticed his love for the drug is vanishing and FAST.

Funny SWIY should bring this topic up for SWIM is currently dealing with the consequences of giving in, thinking why not share the fun? BIG MISTAKE!!! Bit SWIM in the rear end hard, for SWIM's friend is not her friend anymore, is in recovery and blaming SWIM for her current condition. SWIM feels tremendous guilt and wishes she never gave her friend that first bump. The danger with this drug is that it's impossible to foresee how SWIY will react, and once you give in, there's no turning back.

Save SWIY the heartache and say NO! It's not worth it!

SWIM would try not to let said friend on the basis of:

1) how easy an addiction comes about
2) how much SWIM hates giving away free lines

although if SWIM's friend insisted that he wanted to try it, SWIM would let him. it is pretty nice after all.

It depends on the friend.

There of friends of SWIM that he would never ever give any coke to.

But other friends of SWIM he knows would try coke and either don't care for it or know how to use it responsibly.

But please make sure you know your friend well. Addiction or stress prone people are a definite no in SWIM's book.

In my opinion no, the person that introduced swim to drugs has to hear about it daily. Also if this is a good friend and he ends up in a bad situation, could swiy deal with it?

SWIM wouldnt introduce his friends to coke, definately not. As has been said, could SWIY handle it if his friend became a serious addict.

Swim would say ok and dish out a line, chances are they won't think much of it anyway. Swim knows a lot of people that use coke or aren't against it's use, hard to put a number on it but probably 100 or so that he would say hi to in the street. He knows of two people who have developed serious addictions, one from powder one from smoking it. Several others have had quite bad habits, wouldn't say physical addictions, that cause them to spend most of their money on coke at the weekend but by and large the vast majority of people that have tried it continue to use it sparingly and happily with no impact on their finances or health.

Swim thinks it all boils down to your own personality and where you are in your life when use it. Swim was 19 when he first tried coke and wouldn't offer it to anyone younger unless he was sure of their maturity. He knows far more people who have observable problems from weed smoking than any other type of substance.

Swim thinks that is a difficult question to answer, he has a friend that is so addicted to coke it breaks swim's heart to see and talk to him. Swim is glad he wasnt' the one who introduced his friend to the coke. It is a very sad story.

None of SWIM's friends got addicted. Only SWIM, but not that badly.

Some of SWIM's friends blame him for their addiction but the funny thing is SWIM doesn't ever remember giving them their first lines. Sure he remembers doing lots of blow with them but has never started anyone on the shit. Other than his few close friends that did it with SWIM for their first times SWIM has never given lines to any first timers. Even when first starting he was against getting people using it. Just any drug in general really. SWIM picked up the worst habit out of his close friends but rarely uses now. It's been a good 5 months since his last sesesion.

SWIM gave up and realised what it had done to himself and those around him. SWIM cut those friends who still use out of his life, all except for one person and that's because he loves her more than anything in the world and doesn't want to lose her friendship - but SWIM still finds it hard.

The only thing SWIM would introduce anyone too, is MDMA.

depends on what swiy means by "introduce". it he means it in a way that he offers a friend coke without the friend being interested, than he was say definetly not. dont encourage it.

now, if swims friend is bent on trying coke and swiy know he is going to do so than he would reccommend that swiy as a good friend guide his friend through the experience. that would be much more responsible instead of some jackass giuding him thinking coke is the best thing in the world and would be great for swiy's friend.

SWIM's question is why would anyone do any drug around peeps that don't?

SWIM's bf (ex now) is a crack cocaine addict. He wanted her to be with him while he smoked. SWIM being a super anal control freak and had never even tried weed tried the "shit".

SWIM walked away from crack and bf after 3 months of weekend binges.

SWIM is blessed.

Would SWIM do it again this way - yes. If I had tried it with anyone less special to me I might not have been so lucky.
