SWIM's plant also came in this last week and was also not in the best of conditions. Repotted it, sprayed it, and in a few days it was upright. SWIM's plant looked like a geriatric and bent over somewhat. LOL

Mine is a west facing window and so gets the afternoon sun. From what I have read on these forums so long as it gets sun sometime in the day and not too long and SWIY's salvia should thrive, once it has got over its shock.

In England Salvia is not currently a scheduled drug, nor is there any sabre rattling about the subject either in the UK or in EU parliaments and I have been keeping an eye out on it.

However these messages are permanent, and so if in the event it does become illegal, what you have just said might imply you are growing illegal drugs!11one1!!!eleven

Generally use SWIM (Someone who isn't me) or SWIY (Someone who isn't you) and speak in the third person when you're referring to your nefarious activities and you can't go wrong!

Re: new salvia plant

swim says the best thing to do when swiy recieve a salvia is to make a humidity chamber, mist the leaves wet the soil and put it in the chamber.

Most salvias people receive are probably used to very high humidity and they don't like rapid humidity shifts.
Swiy should let it recover from the trip(for about a week), then slowly aclimate the plant to swiys humidity by taking the tent off for a little bit at a time, longer periods each day starting with 1/2 hour and then 1 hour 2 hours... etc.
