Calliandra angustifolia (Bobinsana / Quinilla Blanca)
Material used:
Calliandra angustifolia dried leaves from Peru. Dosage, preparation and use: One gram of the dried leaves, finely crushed, and mixed half with tobacco so to ensure good burn (one cigarette and a half of tobacco was used) The mix was smoked as joints (two joint as the all material wouldn't fit into a single one) Each toke was kept in the lungs for a few seconds before exhaling the smoke. Quality of the smoke: Let's say the smoke is not harsh and the taste is ok Onset: first effects can be felt after a few puffs, so that's about 10-30seconds Duration of the effects: about one hour (maybe one hour and a half). Effects description: provides a mild stone with some 'heavy head/foggy head' like feeling, and some sedation, no real ophoria but some slight up in the mood maybe (nothing very pronounced I think). No pupils dilatation. Negative effects: None were noted at this dosage. Conclusion: I don't know what to say about this one, the stony effect is ok but nothing extraordinary (and of course it is much weaker than cannabis). I would be interested in trying the plant orally (as a tea), if so I will report (will start very low as little is known about this plant). Also, some 20x extract could possibly be an interesting smoke. Note: experimentation with Calliandra anomala (Cabeza de angel), smoked and as a tea, could be of some interest to see how the two species compare. |

"are any of the other augustifolia useful for anything??"
what do you mean? I don't understand "any idea what the active in this plant are?" absolutely not, but I'd like to hear more about it as I do not like to work with plant without knowing what is in them (no way to be sure it's not some toxic stuff) |
