Fall asleep while on hydrocodone

A couple months ago SWIM took 5 hydrocodone pills. His friend took it with him too. It was both of there first times, and one of SWIM's friend told him to not fall asleep cause he could die. He said a couple of his friends died. SWIM and his friend tried to not fall asleep, so they played XBOX and stuff. Then all that SWIM remembers is being really "out of it" and he ended up falling asleep. He woke up but felt normal except his leg was asleep and it hurt to move. SWIM was wondering if he could really die?

Anything is possible but even if you SWIY had taken five of the highest dose hydrocodone pill SWIY still would've only taken 50 mg.

SWIM has got to put "death" in the highly unlikely category.

You'll know if youve taken a lethal dose of hydrocodone. Most people experience vomiting swelling of face and other symptoms commonly experienced as an allergic reaction to opiates. If the Hydro was 5/500 (Vicodin) then even most opiate naive people can handle 25 mgs of hydrocodone. If it was 10/325 etc then you might want to watchoutas 50 mgs in some opiate naive people might cause an allergic reaction. Everyone says dont go to sleep while on vicodin but when swim was young he used to sleep off doses too high for his young opiate intolerant body, thats not to say its safe but i doubt your friend knows people who died from taking that amount of hydrocodone then sleeping.

Swim takes about 40mgs of hydro (when he has that much) regularly and feels nothing close to a OD or even death. He has gone to sleep on that and lower amounts and also feels nothing like dying. Only the first times he had taken a large dose like 45 or 50mgs had he felt like he was going to die, which was not pleasant. He had trouble staying awake (was in more than a nod, and felt like a coma), he was hardly breathing and his heart rate was extremely low. Swim dosent really know if anybody has actually died while asleep on a low dose, but he can tell you from his standpoint that it is okay.

ill take 40 mg with 1mg of xanax almost daily for sleep. I dont die. But I kind of have a tolerance to both drugs...so. Still. I dont think its dangerous unless you've taken enough to od in the first place.
