Boiling bong water

What benifits does this have? Doesn't the steam produced by the boiling hot water potentially cause resperatory problems when inhaled? It's like inhaling water.

Wow. I've never heard of this. Is this really regarded as
a better method? I'm going to look into it, and ask around to see
if anyone I know has tried it.

Better than...drinking it, perhaps? The best thing to do with bongwater is throw the horrible crap away! Or are you talking about having the water in the bong boiling whilst inhaling? In which case, again, not recommended - it'd be like inhaling from the spout of a kettle and could possibly do a fair bit of damage.

I would think that if the bong water was "thick" enough with resin and tar from all the smoke drawn through it, you would just want to throw it away

are you saying that you would take the bong water and boil it and then
inhale the steam (this is what I assume) or are you saying that
you are puting boiling water into a bong and the lighting up a bowl. I
would assume that their cant be much thc in thebong water so there is
no point to boiling it and sniffing the steam also thc is not water
soluble and if it is months old water that you have been using,
remember that bacteria grow in water...if you really wanna do something
with the liquid use whole milk instead of water in a bong and then
drink it afterwards. I have never done this, but the fat in the milk
could capture some thc, though again I doubt it would be enough to get
you high.

I meant having boiling water in the bong and lighting up a bowl. I heard somewhere that it was alot better than cold water (i put ice in my bong water when i smoke). But i'm confused about it. Wouldn't the steam make it harder to take a solid hit?

yes the steam would collect the smoke more so and you would inhale less
smoke (more smoke would get sucked into the water vapor), so if you
wanna get more CONDENSED smoke (and have bigger hits) use ice in the
water or really cold water. I have no clue as to what steam would do to
your lungs, but it cant be that great.

ive never tried it, but i did remember reading some study posted on this site saying how the colder the water, the weaker the hit (meaning less thc per hit i guess).I could also see ur lungs inhaling less smokeas a result of breathing in steam(ive always found breathing steam in to be relaxing but i wouldnt want it to tak away from my smoke). all i can say is BE CAREFUL. i remember my friend did this with his bong and the water was so hot and he had a cold can of soda accidentally touch the side of his bong when he set it down and it cracked right down the side and started spilling everywhere. maybe his glass was kinda thin or something, but ive also seen people using hot water to clean their glass and then accidentally let cooler water touch it and had the same sad story happen. Id hate for u to lose ur bong over an experiment or anything. Good luck though, let us know if it works better or anything, peace....

i would think that the boilinmg water would have no positive effect on the hit or the high or anything it would be making it worse of a hit and i wouldnt want to fuck with boiling the water or any of that shit so i say that it wouldnt do much of anything but make your bong hot
