OTC Nurofen Plus

G'day guys..

Swim broke his leg last year and was using Panadeine Forte as a pain reliever, Swim really enjoyed this feeling of going from pain to a "Lovey Dovey" state withing 5-30 mins..

Anyway swim has been buying nurofen plus ( 200mg ibuprofen / 12.8 mg Codeine phosphate ) and has just been eating these in lots of 4-6 at a time, but only once a day or at least 8 hours apart...

Swim has tried CWE with these 2 times and is unsure if he is doing the process correctly... Swim feels he has the CWE Method down pat, but is a little worried as swim has seen a few pictures of the "Final Product" and these appear to be a very clear looking mixture.. Swims "Final Product" is looking very milky, but swim is sure he has filtered out all the "Junk"..

Swim is basicly wondering in anyone else has used the same tablets as mentioned abouve as there source of extraction and if so, Are you seeing the same milky mixture as Swim ??

swim used kpac and got a cloudy solution that tasted bitter. he did not suffer liver failure.

swim heard that nurofen were difficult to do a cwe on could anyone confirm?

I agree, they seem hard to break up and the binders clog filters. Just buy generic co-codamol from a chemist. Its a 3rd of the price aswell

Nurofen plus, according to swim, is the worst pill to use for CWE. For an ibuprofen/codeine alternative he uses Panafen plus as it dissolves faster, produces a less milky solution and is way cheaper.

There are many paracetamol/codeine alternatives that work even better though.

They changed the formula for Nurofen Plus in order to make it virtually impossible to separate the codeine from the ibuprofen. I suppose they must have picked up on the fact that people were doing this in order to chase a recreational buzz. I wouldn't recommend taking large amounts due to the strain it would put on the liver.

Swim Thanks for your tips.

Swim noticed after consuming 6 tablets that they had more effect then the 24 pack of using CWE, SWIM can not 100% confirm this but does not recommend people wasting cash on Nurofen Plus for CWE but maybe as a little 1 off buzz if stuck at work or somewhere like that.

do you guys think i should add that to the faq? or make a link to this thread? seems to be a problem of some people..

in genereal SWIM doesnt even recommend any codeine+ibu combinations at all, pcm is better for CWE, if possible.. if not.. ok.. ibu is ok

also the clear solution on the picture is just an example, of course, many say that SWIY tablets are just not good which might be true, SWIM doesnt know them, but there might also be other cases with other brands where they actually filter well but some tablet fillers also dissolve and the water might look strange.
but yes, apparently that product is not good for cwe..

Hi everybody,
Im a Kiwi in Hong Kong just got here.
And I have horrid teeth and need to go back to dentist
when I have earned some money over here, and returned to New Zealand.
But been using a few nurofen plus a day to calm the teeth down with.
And they only sell Paracetamol here in Hong Kong and they don't really do much. In New Zealand and Australia have this OTC at all chemists.
Was wondering about anyone managed to get them here in Hong Kong or something similar been to Mannings and Watsons.
Anyway thanks for your help if you are able to give me some idea.
I have heard that over 5mg of codeine in a tablet here is illegal...!
