Will these thoughts remain?

Hi
SWIM isnt a long-term experienced ecstasy user, but has binged recently. He probably consumed 50 ecstasy pills within 6 months. He got drunk recently (last night) and during his "hangoer" he experienced ecstasy-mindy-related thoughts, so he says. They wasn't exactly like being on ecstasy, they wasnt fast, furious and they wasnt as random. But the thoughts related and lead from one to the next, like ecstasy. SWIM was at work during "hangover" and SWIM's job doesn't really help SWIM as there was only 2 people working (inc. me), but are the thoughts due to excessive ecstasy use? Will they remain or go away?
SWIM wants to quit regular drug(ecstasy) usage if possible, but with a mind-frame lile this, it doesn't feel like there's any point. Excessive use leaves you in your own mind and with in your own world.
Because SWIM has used ecstasy previously, excessively, will SWIM remain like this? He is aware his current mind-set is different due to previous ecstasy usage. Will long-terms with no usage persue to a "normal" mindset?

Thanks

Re: Will these thoughts remain?

SWIM doesn't have an answer for SWIY, but wonders if SWIY could describe these thoughts because SWIM is interested in the effects of ecstasy. If SWIY feels it will detract from the thread, maybe shoot a pm...

Re: Will these thoughts remain?

First off, MDMA does not put thoughts in one's head. It simply allows one to look at them from a new perspective. Is this what you mean?

If so then everything will settle down as this way of cognition becomes integrated within SWIM's psyche. It's a natural process and nothing to run to the doctor over. Tell SWIM to straighten up his act, eat well, take vitamins, and generally take care of SWIMself. All will resolve accordingly.

Re: Will these thoughts remain?

panthers007 seems to have the most logical answer. SWIM thinks that ecstasy probably introduced swiy to a new experience and different types of thoughts and now they are implemented into your life. not in a forced way. but after swim tried pot for the first time he was opened to a new way of thinking and now that he has that experience he thinks a little more about different types of things than he would have if he had never tried it. it seems like SWIY's eyes were "opened" in some way and being under the influence of alcohol swiy noticed this.

Re: Will these thoughts remain?

they are probably not permanent. and will go away if swiy stays away and takes a break for a bit. 50 pills is kind of alot. maybe in a couple weeks or less they will let up

Re: Will these thoughts remain?

maybe go and purchase some 5-htp and tyrosine from a health shop and start taking capsules each day to help with serotonin and/or dopamine depletion.if you take too much mdma in too short a period you can easily deplete your serotonin and dopamine...also note that alcohol is a depressant and will make you fell depressed and shit when consumed too much/too frequently etc...
