how do the jurema cult keep it down,mimosa

i read a trip report on erowid where an anonymous person enjoyed his 10 gram mimosa experience but couldn't keep it down where as 8 stayed down

the puking was horrible but it was worth it

any hints on palatability and keeping it down?

My pet monkey told me that this is the way to get a (hopefully) vom free experience with Mimosa

prep your Mimosa root bark as usual: boil the powder for 20minutes, filter, and repeat etc


While the mix is still still hot, mix 7g for every 20g mimosa of unflavored gelatin (easy to find, chefs use it in cooking) into the brew and stir for 30-60 seconds. You should see some manky purple material forming around the thing you are stirring with

pour the mixture through a coffee filter (finer the better) and throw away the large blob of skanky pink gelatinous material that is stuck in the filter. This is gelatin and tannins, the part of mimosa bark that makes it taste rank and maes you ill

Your juice should now be a lot clearer with hardly any purpleness

This should improve taste as well as stopping the vom.

if your pet monkey didnt boil with lots of water but rather little bits added as it boiled away for a cooking time of 40 minutes one time

and a 1/3 of a coffee cup was left

could he add just a little gelatin to the concentrated brew

and wouldnt the gelatin just rise up and be picked out with fingers

He tells me there are many ways to accomplish the same thing, it's all down to experimentation, this is just one way to do it..... Since the brew will not taste anywhere near as horrible it shouldn't be necessary to reduce down that far really.
