Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
The ketamine wiki will link to this post regarding the combination of nitrous oxide and ketamine. Please post any relevant knowledge and/or experiences.
As far as SWIM is concerned, they're similar but ketamine is so overpowering the nitrous isn't really noticed. Unless SWIY does the nitrous in the very beginning or end of a ketamine trip, and they all SWIM feels is the nitrous. SWIM doesn't see much of a synergistic effect in the combination. - Beltane |

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
SWIM has tried this combination at sub-khole dosages. Nitrous combined with most other drugs will intensify the substance it is mixed with, and ketamine seems to be no exception: it briefly made SWIM very confused, sending him out of his body somewhat (he would be in multiple places at once, such as back at work, at a friends house, still in the room he took the ketamine,) however once it wore off enough for him to realize what was happening he was very nauseous. Open eye visuals were increased along with overall "stoning" effect of the ketamine for the remainder of the ketamine's duration. SWIY is right however, at high dosages ketamine would most likely completely overpower the nitrous, not to mention it would be hard/impossible to load up a bulb into a cracker at any moderate-high dose of ketamine. If you even remember that there is such a thing as nitrous and you are a human that could inhale it.

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
SWIM found that on a low to medium ketamine dose (admittedly while also on a low dose of E) if nitrous was introduced the deeper nitrous disassociation effects were easier to reach, and were reached much more often with less nitrous.
by a deeper nitrous disassociation effect SWIM refers to the point where, SWIM is oblivious to reality and my be seen by others to make movements (usually in time with and linked to the echos) in relation to the world they now perceive. Peace Geezaman |

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
My bonsai kitten feels the same as SWIBeltane, nitrous seem to do very little for him in combination with ketamine. Sometimes he has used it to get a quick buzz before the ketamine kicks in, but once it's on it overrides the effects of nitrous completely and he feels no synergism between the two. On a few occassions he has used nitrous oxide after returning from the K-hole which seem to prolong the experience a bit, but feels more like a nitrous buzz while somewhat sedated than the synergism of two powerful dissociatives.
Add another psychedelic to the mix and its a whole other story the kitten says, he loves ketamine and LSD in combination, the LSD while adding a delightful extra layer of introspective and analytical qualities to the experience also removes some of the, in this kittens opinion, downsides of the pure ketamine experience, the mental foggyness and motorical clumsyness and nitrous oxide comes to its right in this state and can take the whole experience to another level. But ketamine + nitrous oxide on it's own he says is a waste. |

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
SWIM has had a quite different experience to those SWIYs above. SWIM once took a large line of k, and then did two balloons after about ten minutes, as the k was kicking in. SWIM was on another planet for the rest of the hour! Admittedly, SWIM was relatively inexperienced with k at the time, but experienced enough to know it enhanced the effects considerably. SWIM was getting lots of visuals and had an extended out of body experience.

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
SWIM has tried nitrous and ketamine quite a few times, him and his friends all agree that the combination is very good. The first time he tried it, he describes it as inhaling the balloon and being sky rocketed into outerspace, launched into a different world. The first time is always the best!
I dont think it matters how long after the ket you do the nitrous. |

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
When Savage Henry took nitrous and ketamine, nothing incredible happened, but everything had the volume and intensity turned up a hundredfold. The visual effects were interesting, dramatically increasing the distortions of the ketamine, seemingly zooming in on everything at once (without reducing field of vision) and creating an artificial 3D-ness. At the time, he was also coming down from mescaline and at whatever stage of an MDMA experience, he can't quite recall, so these will undoubtedly have coloured it, but there was always a clear distinction between the mescaline and ketamine visuals.

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
After effects can last for up to ten minutes in Squirrells experience. Definitely one to try! Squirrell has never tried nos whilst k-holing, he now has a new aim...

Re: Combining nitrous oxide with ketamine
SWIM considers this combination one of his favourite midweek past times. Especially sat in bed with music and Mrs SWIM.
