Help Newbie Photo Cutting

Hello there guys, i am a boy from Lithuania. I brought a Salvia Cutting from my friend, took a vase and ran some cold water into a tap. I think something isnt ok with my cutting. PLEASE look at these photos

Is that normal, if not, how can i solve this problem ? The temperature is 10*c outside and i think ~20 inside.

Re: Help Newbie Photo Cutting

Hmm, how much sun is it getting? Too much direct sunlight will kill a Salvia Divinorum plant.

Re: Help Newbie Photo Cutting

Swibf's thumb wouldn't be considered that green, but just about every cloneling such as Swiy's to have the slimmest chance of actually surviving they need extremely high humidity levels and more or less constant light for a stretch. Swiy should start arranging the funeral, looks to be too late at this point.

EDIT: Decent soil/medium for root growth also, root development is what its all about.

Re: Help Newbie Photo Cutting

Swim just posted a little blurb about how he did cuttings in the growing thread.

Swiys salvia is not getting enough water. Since it has no roots the way it takes in most water is from the leaves. If swiy sprays the leaves something like every hour it may work. But if swiy wants he could put a 1 gallon bag OVEr the vase. Tie it down at the base poke a little hole at the top(big enough to get the nozzle of a spray bottle in) and then mist the plant.

Another issue is with heat. Salvia's root well in a warm humid temp.

Also SWIY should soak the whole thing in water to minimize shock. water should probably be room temp

Wouldn't it be great to have a subforum for growing salvia... well thats just swims opinion anyway...
