wierd feeling/emotion in unnecesary situations
swim has been smoking bud and doing ecstacy for a few years now
about a year and a bit ago swim started having these wierd emotions and feeling only when he got stoned... it went away but has recently come back but its more intense... its quite hard to explain the feeling but someone out there might experience the same thing so you may know.. its the feeling you get when someone is talking shit and you know it or someone is talking them selves up to a point of anoyance when in your head your like omg shut up... recently when swim gets stoned it happens as some of you may know some wierd stuff can happen whilst taking lots of ecstacy and smoking lots of bud... and deprivation of sleep.... when in state... this emotion/feeling gets transformed into a situation... (e.g imagine if happyness was to be transformed into a situation it would be full of colourful lights and rainbows and sunshine and smiles... the situation of sadness or depression would be an endless desert full of dark dead trees with a faint sense of blackness to everything...) like these 2 examples all aspects of this emotion is formed into a time and place... (situation) if swim is to hear someone talking about something... or anything at all that imply's they have higher knowledge over something or if they are telling a story about themselves swim starts to get this great feeling of uneasyness and embarasment for the person as if they are talking shit to an extant of ebarasment... i was wondering if anyone out there experiences and or if anyone knows what it is and why it happens?? cheers |

Re: wierd feeling/emotion in unnecesary situations
Yes. We know. Allow me to illustrate:
A man walks into a doctor's office drinking a cup of coffee. From the cup there stands a spoon. "Oh doctor! Everytime I drink coffee I get a sharp pain in my eye! Help me, doctor! Help me!" "Well.." says the doctor.."have you tried taking the spoon out of the coffee cup?" This is similar. SWIM talks of the causative factor - taking MDMA (or god-knows-what is in the pills) and smoking pot. And lots of it. So I suggest that you suggest to SWIM to stop the medication for the present time. Eat lots of good food. Sleep well. And find a new hobby for the time being. All good things in moderation. Especially chemicals. |

Re: wierd feeling/emotion in unnecesary situations
i'm pretty sure we are experiencing the same thing..
swim does talk to himself a lot... verbally and mentally... it has gotten to the point of loving the idea that whats in swims head stays in swims head and is for swims head only... swim hates the idea of those others being able to associate with him... swim too has recently started to be able to control this... swim will be able to stop the ecstacy but swim loves smoking bud far too much to give it the kick... i guess swim is going to have to use his mind to try and fix this one... |

Re: wierd feeling/emotion in unnecesary situations
I know that it has been a while since this thread was posted in but think this information might be of use regardless. You see my cat suffers from depression and completely relates to the feelings you're describing. He sometimes feels like seeing people at all would be a sort of battle for him. And there are definitely times when my cats depression shifts into a sort of anger that just sits with him under the surface.
Ecstasy and even cannabis (if there was a mild precursor) have been known to agitate depression and other forms of neurosis especially if you take too much or do them too consistently. Ecstasy in particular can be very harmful to people with even mild (nearly unnoticeable) depression because of the serotonin dump that it causes. Even average individuals experience a 'hangover' period after using ecstasy which is similar to depression. I agree with the last response completely if SWIY hasn't yet then he should stop taking everything for a little while and then build up slowly. It might be good to take notes on SWIY's experiences and to watch for any negative side effects, stopping again if he starts to feel strange. Personally, my cat would never do ecstasy on any regular basis and would give himself a 'hang-over' day to rest and perhaps smoke a little each time he took it. Cannabis too should be taken in low doses. He's found that if he gets his tolerance down and then smokes the same exact amount (get a scale) everyday that his tolerance will only return after several months. And then it only takes a couple weeks of sobriety to get him right back to were he started. This is unneccesary if cannabis is smoked less than once a week or so. Other ethnobotanicals (Salvia, Calamus, Cree, Dagga, Kava) will heighten the effects of cannabis without increasing tolerance. They also make good substitutes during those rough two-week periods.
