SWIM had a traumatic few events happen to him.

SWIm feels his personality has been lost. SWIM cant sleep and is all round depressed.

if SWIM drops some acid with the preset mind that SWIM wants to confront all the issues and sort them out from the inside out.

would it work?

Although one can't say yes or no to ANY form of therapy working - does for some, Does not with others - taking LSD (or other psychedelics) for a "home-cure" has a very low track record. Usually LSD would be an option in therapy that would be discussed in detail with a competent therapist and the client.

Since the studies were done with entactogenics, such as MDMA, and the results were found to be staggeringly positive, the use of this class of drugs are generally considered the way to go. If drugs are an option.

wait so your saying that for a person who isnt having marriage problems and is just sorting out his own head on his own. MDMA is more helpful then LSD?

For achieving a clear, calm center where one can look deeply and fearlessly at the way their mind works - yes. For one exploring the deep inner-spaces for research - not necessarily. LSD will show one a great many more areas of the mind than MDMA. But as far as a therapeutic agent for short-term use, MDMA has shown greater efficacy in helping one understand and accept oneself.

Both are quite useful - for different applications - and both share much common ground.
