Pink Adderall

Swim's n ot sure if there's a thread about this but doesn't have time to look. Hopefully swiy will merge if need be.

swim received a few pink addy's , either 35 or 30 mg. She has heard there are different effects. These pills are IR. She hears that they cause swiy to be more jittery (versus regular orange IR's).

Does swiy have any comments about the new pink addys?

SWIM has Pink 20's....didn't notice any difference vs Orange 20's....did SWIY look up the imprint?

yes , swim researched but didnt find too much info, she'll take it today and see what happens... she is just worried she may have an allergic reaction if the pink ones contain different chemicals than the orange ones

Which is usually placebo or psychological tolerance (i.e, the brain doesn't understand that the new pill will lead to the same effects and thus doesn't start preparing to counter them).

The ingredients should be the same, perhaps with a different tolerance interval for variations. Though, with some generics they've found drastic differences (I'd have to verify this, I might be confusing something), I don't believe Adderall was one of them, mostly SSRI's.

swim took 3 of the pink pills , spanned out over a couple hours, and they made her want to vomit. but she is bored and contemplating taking another one for the speedy effects.

swim doesnt know anymore.

If SWIY took 3 then had negative effects, why would one more make things turn out better?

Reminds SWIM of one definition of insanity: expecting different outcomes for different actions when one action is done repeated times. (not implying anything about SWIY's mental character just trying to draw a parallel.)

and swim did not make much sense earlier. she means that when shes up she wants to keep going up..but cant take the stomach effects anymore..the feeling like you're on the verge of throwing up is terrible..

It is not that swim does not trust you, but swim thinks that your statement seems a little vague and nonsensical. It just does not make sense that it would happen due to the manufacturer. Maybe it was just a freak thing. Swim doesnt doubt that happened to you, but a conclusion like that prob should not be drawn without further testing. That would be very interesting if the pinks ones always gave you heart issues.

Does it happen every time with the pink ones? It happens to swim sometimes no matter what kind of addy. Just curious is all.

Wow swiy likes to take a lot of adderall. Swim agrees that there are slight differences between the feeling of ir generic vs xr brand. Perhaps because the IR comes all at once its more of a shock on the body. Swim things you other swims are crazy to take 30-35 mg instant release pills all at once. He has been prescribed for years and has found taking a quarter of his 20 mg IR pills every 2 hours or so is more than enough.

Swims friend died swimming in the pool after an all night adderall binge. He never found out the details. The point is that this stuff should be taken at the least effective dosage. People who overdo it or take it recreationally with other drugs are asking for trouble. It sucks for partying anyway, it's like coke minus the fun.

BTW the generic and brand name are the same chemical, but the generic is instant release whereas the brand name is extended release. That means the generic gives you the same amount of the drug over a shorter period of time, resulting in increased effects. I believe generic XR comes out later this year.

The FDA gives generic manufacturing houses a 20% lee-way when they run clinical bioassays on bioequivalence and kinetics measures of the generic drug....

"The Orange Book" is the official guide line for generics substitutions and what-not.... Do a search of "preface to orange book" on the FDA website to find more info on generics in America...

I am nmot to sure how the orange adderall effect's me but I take 5-20mgs a day and honestly I do not feel much I have add and I recently started 10mgs 5x a day the blue pills and those worked great for me I even lost 20#s in a month and then I went off them for about 1 month and then my doctor bumped me up 100mgs a day and im confused because I really fely more of a boost from the 10mg pill's then these pink ones and I cant figure it out these pill's even make me kinda tired to be honest with u, their is 2 things I am doing different I have been taking hydrocodone and abilify also with these pill,s does that make a difference please tell me or are these pink adderall pills junk I got them from wal-greens does anyone no what pharmacy's still use orange adderall?

swim had not had any adderall in a long time and was very excited to come across 5 pink 30mg. never had them, only orange ones but figured it would be the same effect. swim was extremely disappointed. took 1 and snorted a half. after an hour stomach is tight and twisted, not warm and tingling as usual. felt energy and a little bit of a need to do something but stomach getting worse and starting to feel bad all around. so swim did the stupid thing and ate two snorted another half. everything just got worse and never got the buzz that came with every orange thirty swim had ever done. it also seemed like the comedown was longer and more intense. swim has done as much as 90mg within and hour or two and enjoyed every minute of it. it is swims opinion that the pink addys are definitely different and will never take another pink one.

Thats good to know. I wonder why there are such poor quality?

Having been prescribed both swim's opinion is that the XR "name brand" pills definitely have a cleaner effect than the 20 mg IR pink addys that swim is currently prescribed. Swim sees the advantage in IR in that he gets more mgs per day and that it doesnt last 8-12 hours... sometimes swim needs to study for a bit then pass out. There is definitely a difference though. Swim thinks it could be the mechanism in which the drug is delivered, perhaps more of a shock on the body.

SWIM is confused? You are comparing the time-release brand name pills to the generic IR pills? Of course the time-release will come on more gradually and such.

SWIM had never seen a pink adderall until being prescribed them. SWIM read about "the pink ones" being a bit different than the orange ones everyone is accustomed to. SWIM aquired a few orange 30mg from a friend and along with her prescribed 30mg pink ones tested them, alternating days between the brands and SWIM was not able to notice any difference between the two, despite the fact she'd read so many claims that the pink ones sucked. In a blind-fold test, SWIM could not tell them apart. Just SWIM's experience though.

I take 150mgs of addy a day the pink 30mg pills and I really dont feel anything why is that I also take abilify,zoloft,neurontin,hydrocodone do any of those pills slow sown the effect of the adderall?

First, learn the rules regarding self-incrimination as you are in violation of them. Learn how to use SWIM or something similar

Also, is SWIY prescribed this dosage as this seems very high. Even with tolerance taken into account, 150mg per day of adderall is an extremely high dose that most doctors wouldn't prescribe that high amount
