All media is approved by me before it becomes accessible to other members. when I approve media a thread is automatically created for the approved media. So no, by creating your own discussion thread it just means I have to find and merge it, at which case I can still only do if you started it in my forums. This would make more work. At some stage we hope to have the discussion threads started by the member who submitted the video, but right now that function is not available.
