That's weird you wrote that. Today I was thinking about writing a tribute to my dead friend, Mike H.
Dear Mike: You told me about being wanted by every cop in the town, in a hilarious way. You made doing a load of speed and fishflopping sound like a cool, repeatable experience. I can't believe you ended it all, in a car, by a river, with a gun, all alone. If I had known, I would have come. You had so much to offer. Even doing life, you would have touched people's lives and made them smile. I can't fault you for not wanting to be in prison for the rest of your life, I don't know for sure what happens there, but you took death first. I trust and believe you are with God. I only hope you are flying around, grinning and at peace!!! No one who knew you will forget you. Rest in Peace. To Mike's family: You did, indeed, raise a wonderful son.Edited by: manda |

it kinda sucks how in life it takes some sort of tragedy to open our
eyes to something that we should have already known. By this I mean we all know that drugs are bad (in one way or another) but we tend to disregard that because of the highs that they produce and by the time we realize or at least pay attention to what we already knew its to late (either due to addiction or death). And this doesn't have to apply soley to drugs either. |

The reason it happened may be that after being an addict and relapsing..relapse hits harder , faster, and rougher than before. I have known heroin addicts die, but stilltheir friendscarry on. My mum died of booze..i carried on. It's the nature of addiction. And we never know when our last drug or drink may be the last. Information is the key. RIP daeron's friend |
