Milk Thistle Right Before Drinking
A lot of the things I've been reading about milk thistle say that it can treat liver disease and so forth, but sometimes I find something that says it can prevent problems.
But then I read things like: "Inhibition of leukotriene and inflammatory prostaglandin formation. Both classes of compound are released in response to chemical and other varieties of liver damage, and help to bring about the resultant inflammation which, itself, can lead to further damage." -http://www.erowid.org/herbs/milk_thi...le_info1.shtml It makes me feel like SWIM is messing with the way his liver naturally works (he has taken milk thistle right before getting drunk twice so far), and that he could be causing more problems than helping. Does anyone have advice about protecting the liver from alcohol with milk thistle? Last edited by splish6; 09-05-2008 at 21:20. Reason: swim |
