Drug info - Tenex (Guanfacine Hydrochloride)

I think this is an antipsychotic...if I'm wrong, please feel free to move it, mods.

Anyways, is there any recreational value to it? Any experiences? Information on effects, dosage, etc.? I couldn't really find much with a google search.

Side Effects
Usual: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, constipation, gas pains, diarrhea, loss of appetite, fatigue, and nasal congestion may occur.
Rare: chest pain, shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the hands or feet, blurred vision, yellowing of the eyes or skin.
Others: mental/mood changes, tingling of the hands or feet, dry mouth, impotence, decreased sexual desire, vision changes, taste changes, ringing in the ears, leg cramps

Doesnt seem recreational to someone, in the opinion.

It works by reducing heart rate and relaxing blood vessels.

This doesnt seem safe in more than medicinal dose though.What is interesting for swim is that the molecule contain a phenethylamine core (or what could be hydrolyse to phenethylamine core), it will however become o,o-dichlorophenethylamide, which seems to be inactive.

I knnow this is an old post, but I am new, so I am looking around. I do know something about this medication. It is for high blood pressure, but it has an off label use for heroin WD's. My friend was given it in a rehab, and he told me it helped with RLS, and he said it acually knocked him out for the night. I am not a doctor, but from what I have read and from what my friend told me, dont mess with it. It can be dangerous especially if a person has low blood pressure. It is about as fun to use as Thorizine, meaning, dont use it..It's dangers outweigh its trying it for fun. Hope this helped
