Swibf is probably being cynical, but didn't that train leave quite a while ago?

It was really painful to see him at the debates and how intrigued people were by the truths he spoke of; then to have the epiphany that would have resulted be detoured by a simple baseless refutation of the logical thoughts RP put forward by the corporate opinion networks.(news? pffft.)

Ron paul has dropped from the race as far as i know. Its got to be Obama or Edwards now or else the world is in big trouble. Dear god if anybody is thinking of voting Hilary or mcCain please dont.....think of the rest of the world cause it effects us too. The world is screaming out for a change. Edwards is long gone. I think FOX News are enjoying success in their systematic defamation of Obama and the other media outlets can't help but follow suit. This Reverend Wright fiasco is being milked dry. Two months ago, few people could have seen Clinton re-emerging in the race like she has, and this is despite those ludicrous "Bosnian sniper fire" comments which came straight from the Hilldawg's mouth. Obama is being targeted by association and I'm seriously starting to doubt his chances now. Even Bill O'Reilly put Clinton on a platform the other day, so determined are FOX to give her the nod. I suspect that McCain would beat Hillary in the final election.

I don't understand Obama well enough to know where he stands on most issues. He's played it very carefully insofar as avoiding direct policy-related questions. But that may be catching up to him. I do know one thing though, of the three remaining contenders, Obama is the one that "THEY" do not want in the most. That's why I'm now routing for him.

But since McCain already won enough deligates to get the nomination, Ron Paul has zero chance of winning.

He's probably still in the race because it gives him a good platform to have his views heard, and hopefully have some kind of influence. This is a common thread among libertarian politicians, they often try to influence the political machine by expressing their ideology rather than actively seeking power. At least this is the view I have read in libertarian literature.

It seems like Ron Paul has had some success in this regard. There are a number of "Ron Paul Republicans" running for Congress, for instance:

If the stories flying around about Ron being a racist slimeball - then you have to figure who would be spreading the propaganda - 1. The Democrats don't feel he is a threat. 2. The Republican view him as a traitor - but still one of them. 3. Who does this leave?

It leaves, in my book, the underground Nazis who think Ron could turn the Republican Party around and kick them out.

Did you know there is a famous photo of Bush palling around in the White House Oval Office with the leaders of the KKK and it's many off-shoots? Slapping backs and laughing? What do you think he was talking about with them? The planting season in Mississippi?

Ron Paul presents a problem for the Nationalists. Not the Democrats. So they use his spectre of change-politics against him while heaping the entire "family" war as a tool to divide the Democratic Party from taking control of the White House.

I wasn't aware that either parties were anything but nationalists... The only difference between the two parties is that the Democrats are openly nationalists/socialists and the Republicans simply hide behind an opposing philosophic veil that only slightly conceals the same Oz is pulling the strings on either side.

Iv been watching obama recently and iv been very impressed, definatley worth investigating. But exactly as you said....the powers that be want McCain or Clinton and i fear we might see a repeat of the JFK incident if Obama wins.

Obama is no JFK (and he was simply the best of a bad lot). Quite rightly, Wall Street and other business concerns support him, not Hillary. Obama is the best of the three but he is gradually morphing into the same as the rest as power gets closer. If he gets in power, he can't be as bad as McCain or Hillary with their promises of extreme nationalistic violence, but don't expect much more.
