What did swim have?

Swim bought what he thought was pure mdma/molly, but isn't sure(swim is pretty damn sure it wasn't). Swim then promptly went to the club and ingested what looked like a safe amount. Two hours later swim once again ingested what looked to him, to be a safe amount.

Swims experience in comparison to pressed pills sucked. For starters swim's love buz was fairly mellow compared to various pressed pills. Swim did not feel like dancing, walking up to random people, and felt very cold. After swim left the club with swims friends, they sat up and talked until about 6am (swim took it around 10pm). Swim was also having hot and cold flashes. Swim also had a lot of blankets wrapped around him and laid down in front a fire.

PS.

Swim says the stuff he had was powder and was white with a grayish ting.

Swim have had this a few times now and his experience did not vary much with small or large dose.

It's probably just heavily cut so that the experience is very muddied. Powdered MDMA can be just as cut or worse than pressed pills. SWIM actually prefers finding reputable pills since they circulate much more and can be recognized in a local area. It's pretty much impossible to know what was in the powder by judge of effects and physical features alone. A testing kit would show if there was a MDxx chemical present and could also show other active cutting agents (amph, 2C-x, etc). A testing kit is the only way to know for sure of anything.

I guess what swim is wondering is what could possibly make him super cold and give him hot and cold flashes while sweaty like a mad man.

No one here can tell swim what was taken. It is impossible to know what a substance in without testing it. It may or may not have been MDMA. There are too many things to guess what it really is. Swims advice is get a testing kit. Test before you take. one can have a pretty good guess at what is in the pill/powder before one takes it. It is impossible to know afterwards

SwiY should maybe try making a marquis reagent if she is able to. (swiM believes it's a Formaldehyde/Sulfuric acid mixture at a certain ratio like 3:1 but not sure...) and testing a sample.

Based on the color (or absence of color) she should be able to tell at least whether it is what she'd been told.

Just remember that the marquis reagent uses some potentially nasty stuff so don't get it on swiY's hands or anything like that.

Crushed up BZP or an other legal high perhaps.

If swiy still has access to the same type of pills then get a test kit and find out. If they definatley aint what they are meant to be then confront swiys dealer with the results and demand real produce in future or find a new contact.

Must be some strange MDMA. I guess things get stomped on so much that some hamsters out there associate amphetamine + MDMA as just MDMA and never experience the pure chemical. My pet hamster is probably in that same situation.

Yep SWIM knows what you mean, he was at a rave last weekend and took some MDMA and spent a large part of the time just in the chillout area talking to people, enjoying just sitting and having conversations. He did go and dance but didn't have as much energy as he thought he would have, and got tired after a while. SWIM thinks that in the UK at least, it is considered standard for pills to have amphetamine in them as well, i.e. it isn't thought of as an adulteration.

Tell SWIM to buy a good scale. I have little sympathy for people who can afford to buy chemicals - but won't be troubled to weigh them before ingesting them.
