Hello, this is my first post. I got a message from a friend who was wondering about Delosperma Cooperi, and thought this would be a good place to ask so I pasted it below:

I was reading about common legal plants that contain psychotropic chemicals, and Delosperma Cooperi (An ice plant) was on the list. This plant grows alongside my house, so I got excited. I google'd about the plant and came to the conclusion that it contains the tryptamines DMT and 5-MeO-DMT, but couldn't find the plant mass to tryptamine ratio. So with that said, I walked outside and clipped a handful amount of the plant, and dried it in a pot over the stove with low flame for a while. Then I crushed up the dried Delosperma Cooperi into fine powder. Next I took a carrot out of my refrigerator and created a pipe out of it, and packed the dried plant powder into it. I didn't have a lighter so I lit a candle over the stove and applied the flame to the carrot pipe. I inhaled the smoke a couple of times, but all that happened was that I just got a little light-headed. So, does this plant really contain tryptamines? If it does, do I have to do an Acid-Base extraction to get the magic out of it? Thanks.

I uploaded two pictures of my friend's plant. I took them a couple days ago when the purple flowers weren't blooming, but now they are.
