Oxycodone is up to 3x stronger in equianalgesic dosage depending on route of administration. If one were to already have a tolerance to Oxycodone then one would already have a tolerance by default to morphine sulphate.
If one 60mg was broken in half and taken then a total of approximately 30mg of MS was administered in a single dosage.
Since this was a PO dosage (oral) then the equianalgesic conversion would be Oxycodone = 2x Morphine.
This would mean that the equivalent of 15mg of Oxycodone was administered, and in total over the duration 30mg equivalent.
Some equianalgisic charts show certain modes of administration to have a different conversion, IV route would be an example.
Oxycodone IV = 3x Morphine IV. etc etc.
This is because certain modes of administration have differing bioavailabilities depending on the route of administration. Lipid solubility, BBB penetration, GIT absorption, etc.
Hope this has been of help
