Vyvanse kicks adderalls ASS!!!!

This sounds like a troll thread but swim assures you it is not. Swim was almost ready to sock holes in his doctors office walls when he switched him from his 60 20mg adderall xrs every month to 60mg vyvanse(lisdexamphetamine) daily. So swim grudgingly popped 120mg vyvanse this morning expecting it to be a methylphenidate tweak at best. boy was he wrong. Adderall makes swim very euphoric but also very introverted and socially anxious, a decent trade off for the euphoria swim gets from it. Now swim went into the vyvanse experince with a negative attitude but that changed shortly. swim has never been this talkative in his life!!!! he feels outgoing, empathetic, and a lust for life that rivals his first LSA+cannabis experince. this stuff is GREAT. he feels the exact opposite of anxiety usually caused by adderall/ritalin/focalin/coke. it feels like a perfect party drug. the urge to socialize is almost overwhelming, something he would never dream of doing on adderall. this even rubbed off on swims girlfriend and we talked for hours, something we havnt been doing much of lately. when swim was talking to her he felt like it was back to the 3rd day of the relationship(we have been going for 8 mos and the honeymoon phase has long since passed...until today) it really is hard to compare this drug to adderall and swim will be trading all his saved up scrips of addie for some weed later today. sereously dont knock this drug until youve tried it. the only downside is it cant be snorted but thats fine with swim. adderall for school, vyvance for party time.

Its still just the dextroamphetamine and functions roughly on the same level. The only downside is that it can only be ingested through the stomach and the patent price hike. Its roughly 60% as potent as adderall and the dosage range compensates for that and then some. Swibf would consider switching if he didn't care about the price hike. He'd personally go for Desoxyn if a change from d-amphetamine salt combo was in order.

swim thinks the l-amphetamine in adderall really changes how it feels. on adderall he is very nervous in social situations and feels bottled up but can stare at a spot on the wall for an hour. swim is almost positive its the absence of l-amphetamine in vyvanse that makes it such a extrovert high. if swim remembers correctly l-amp affects norepinephrine more than dopamine which can cause anxiety. swim has never done dexedrine(pure d-amp) and after some reseach thinks that dexidrine might be what swim is looking for. swim also noticed that the vyvance high is more located in the head as opposed to adderall which makes him feel ridged, and physically sped up. maby vyvanse isnt something so spectacular and swim has been looking for the pure d-amp feeling all along. also the vyvanse is VERY smooth. no peaks or valleys in the high whatsoever. for the past 6 hours swim has been at the same level of euphoria(almost elation) with no signs of it dropping off. and dont we all want desoxyn?? lol

update: the comedown of adderall is among the worst drug related experiences swim has had(worse than that of moderate meth use imo) but vyvanse's comedown is almost nonexistent. swim felt tired, and as if he had taken a threshold dose of some antipsychotic say 25mg seroquel (quitepine) or some benadryl but emotionally he still feels optimistic. This drug appears to have a veeery long duration as swims weed high was not random the next day, an effect caused by amp+marijuana. it felt as if the marijuana brought out the residual amounts in his body.

My adderall comedowns are always mellow. I just got prescribed vyvanse so i can't really compare but i know my friend said the crash from only 60 mg of vyvanse was awful. I guess I'll know by the end of the night...

it's been a week since SWIM has been taking vyvanse and she hates it. She will talk to her doctor to switch her back to adderall. Vyvanse makes SWIM depressed and moody all the time. One minute she's happy and talkative and the other she wants to cut somebody's head off for no reason. Vyvanse also doesn't help SWIM concentrate even when she takes 90mg. Adderall made her feel more confident and helped her concentrate.

Could it be because she's suffering from depression also? Adderall made her feel happy because of the euphoric effect but vyvanse doesn't produce that and she's miserable on it.

Perhaps, but it would be better to just switch back to Adderall as it helps lift her mood. If she mentions to her doctor that she's depressed they may try to put her on an SSRI which would be a bad combination with lisdexamfetamine.
