Trips, enviroment, things to do, places to be

yes... so SWIM just read breaking open the head and is especially interested in DMT (but ayahuasca, not smoking, he seeks to "getting" something from it instead of just flying outta space) so what are good places to be, bad places to be, things to do etc?
is just laying in beds with some friends listening to music a good idea (of course being able to do other stuff but at least some time of the trip)? the one trip described in the book like that sounded quite intersting.. even though it was in the jungle and with way more space & people..
