Can UNcaria Potentiate Kratom Alkaloids?
Several of the calcium channel blockers found in Kratom are also found in Cat's Claw [Uncaria Tormentosa], like rhynchophylline and corynoxeine. Calcium channel blockers potentiate opiates/opioids. Isolated kratom alkaloids, such as 7OHM, if they are not falsely advertised, would supposedly lack these potentiating calcium channel blockers. Many people report that isolated kratom alkaloids feel flatter, less enjoyable than full spectrum or natural kratom. Could Cat's Claw provide the cheap, legal backup to replace those potentiators that are lost when kratom alkaloids are isolated? This could be easily investigated at minimal expense.
I guess this question refers to opioids generally, but I singled out kratom because the calcium channel blockers in question are actually part of natural kratom.
People should look at Cat's claw and possibly even yohimbe as replacement sources of backup indoles. Even iboga, who knows, that is used in opiate detox, what sort of mix would that make if you had small [very small] amounts of iboga with larger amounts of kratom?
Anyway, Cat's Claw was chosen as it is readily available and not prohibitively priced etc, and also it's not just general indoles we're talking here, Cat's Claw has the very ones that should be lost when kratom alkaloids are isolated.
Please report it if you are aware of this combo, what success you might have with it, that sort of thing.
