Phenergan

SWIM got some Meperfan Fortis (Demerol with phenergan) a while back for some back surgery.

The phenergan is an anti-nauseant, but has a very nice sedative/sleep property.

Sometimes when SWIM takes Hydrocodone, she gets the "itchies" and is up late kinda wired... she found that a separate Rx for phenergan helps her sleep and enhances the hydrocodone experience.

Anybody else SWIY take phenergan with opes?

Yep, around SWIM's part of town this is very normal.

phenergan is an anti-histamine. Therefor stops the "itches".

During my last surgery they would give me a shot of phenergan to ease the nauseating effects of the diluadid. I couldn't take it orally cause I had the damn NG tube in my guts. Shit BURNED like hell but worked like a charm. They told me they could only give me 1 shot a day due to the corrosive effects it has on the veins, and because I started liking it a little too much! Its a sedative anti-histamine thats always good to have around. I usually ask for it when prescribed opiates that make me feel ill and the doc never bats an eye.
