Weight - What weight is a 'point'?

What weight is a 'point'? SWIM has heard this term used before, for example "this costs XX a point."

One would think that a point is point one of a gram, i.e. 0.1 grams?

That is what SWIM initially thought, but why would prices for cocaine be quoted in terms of points, especially at $xx per point? Urban dictionary says a point is 1.75g, but this is the only reference to this term SWIM can find.

And when I looked at the word "point" on urban dictionary, it talks about 0.1g...

In most instances, Point means a tenth of a gram.

That being said, a point could weigh anywhere from 60mg-120mg, depending on your dealer and their scale. A point is normally the smallest amount that can be purchased for heroine, cocaine/crack, and meth(amphetamine).

Maybe desperate individuals want 0.4 instead of getting a half gram. Or maybe people can give any quantity, like 2.2g, and it's 22 points at $x per point or some shit. SWIM'd be interested to know.

Point is .1g or 100mg. Swim uses this term often.

Used most often for referring to cocaine. Quality affects price. $4 per point all the way to $10 per point. Used when talking about overall value or quality of a large amount, not sold in points.

To elaborate on the term, swim lives in Costa Rica and folks here use the term 'punta' or 'point' when referring to coke. It is .1g and is sold in a small bag. Here for decent quality shit it costs around 5 bucks per point and is enuff for a large line good for 1-2 hrs tops.
