Help on my paper for Ecstasy

ok so I've decided to do my final project/report on MDMA/Ecstasy for my neuroscience class

just looking for maybe some ideas I could add, Im planning on debunking the myths associated with ecstasy use, and how mdma is a lot safer than the public generally perceives, however I also want to mention ecstasy nowadays is hella cut up and although mdma may not be as bad for you as perceived, the many addictive fillers used to press pills are

the general message I want to come across is that doing ecstasy is often like playing a game of russian roulette, and that one should always research fully prior to using drugs and do it responsibily and in moderation

points used as evidence for pro-mdma use would include
- its theuraputic uses
- its lack of evidence for long term brain damage
*kinda stuck from here on out hahahaha

think I could fill 10 pages double spaced with that outline? or should I change the thesis, open to whatever, THANKS!

It really depends on what the angle your looking for. You could talk an awful lot about serotonin pathways, how 5HTP might help the negative effects, why people who take SSRI's have a lessened effect. How the feelings are created by the various neurotransmitters. and whether MDMA causes damage or whether downregulation of serotonin causes problems in the future

Those are the things if i was trying to come from a neurological standpoint but like you said there is a whole host of things in terms of ethics and law, why it should and shouldnt be legal but you'd probably be looking at a more social arguement rather than actual neuroscience. Be aware the most would disagree with your russian roulette idea as that suggests a high danger outcome which most dont believe is the case. Ecstasy if used responisbly in my oppinion is absolutely nothing like russian roulette, using easy testing aids like EZ test and other such simple chemistry along with getting it from a trusted source can reduce the chance of a bad pill. And even with a bad pill its rare it results in death but just a rather unpleasant experience but that said SWIF has had far worse experiences with alcohol (too much of it) than even the worse pills ever. Just have a little search there is tonnes of data on MDMA out there.
