What did he take?

Help me diagnose please!

My boyfriend just got back from the Bahamas on spring break. He and 3 friends spent $45 on some white powder from a native who told them it was cocaine. They snorted 1 line each (it was enough for 6 lines; they saved 1/2 for later).

2 of them (including my bf) reported immediate euphoria (within 5-10 seconds). 1 of the 3 freaked out and began pacing, took off his shirt, started scratching his chest, and made himself throw up.

Anyways...bf reported no numbness, but did report high emotions (he wacthed "Extreme Home Makeover" and started crying, lol). This was at about 8 or 9pm. Within an hour the euphoira wore off. However, he noticed his heart rate was still very fast.

He laid down at around 1am to try to sleep, but his heart rate did not go down. He and one of the other guys with him got up and just walked around the hotel for hours. Even by 8am (almost 12 hours later) the elevated heart rate continued at the same level it had been all night (he said it felt like he had just ran a sprint and couldn't make it stop).

SO...I have heard lots of stories of people on cocaine and this just does not sound like it. We're both worried about what he took. Any thoughts on what it might have been? Thank you!
