change in temp/storing beer

Hey, I'm going to be buying a bunch of beer and liquor here in my town (there's a special deal), and taking it to a party about 4 hours away. My questions have to do with storing and transporting. It will be here at my place for 3-4 days before the party and I will not have a place to refrigerate it. The liquor will be fine, seeing as it will not have ever been cooled, but I'm worried about the beer.

If beer is refrigerated, stored at room tempature, and then refrigerated again will it be OK? Have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Bassguitar115

I'd be more worried about keeping it dark. Bottled beer (esp. those in light-colored bottles) can get "skunked" by exposure to light. Cans and kegs, obviously this is irrelevant.

Beer is typically shipped warm, then cooled (or not) by the retailer depending on if it is meant to be drunk immediately. Where my lizard's from, cases of beer from the "cooler" fetch a premium price.

OK, well this beer will be in cans. . .

And like I said. . . It will be refrigerated and and then at room tempature for 3-4 days, and then chilled again.

So I should be good?

Re: change in temp/storing beer

room tempurature you should be fine. A buddy of my cat bought a case (cans) one time, saved half of it (leftovers from poker) and after mabye a week or could of even been a couple of days even in his trunk, they we noticable skunked-smelled like shit and tasted like awful. It might of been from the excess of heat, at room temperature it probably be fine, just re-chill them before drinking- warm beer tastes bad
