Nowfoods Kava Kava scam?

Hi,

I'm taking 1 to 3 capsules of Nowfoods 250mg 30% kavalactones Kava Kava Extract every day for more than a week now, and there's no effects! None! I even mixed this with two beers yesterday and two big glasses of wine today and felt nothing! They recommend taking 1 capsule 1 - 3 times a day but it's not working at all. Do you think this is some scam? Maybe they're putting some useless stuff in these capsules hoping for placebo to kick in?
