Health - Just so i get this right...

Now. I checked out ecstasydata.org and it seems like almost 50% of the pills contain methamphetamine. That would be speed, or meth from the faces of METH movie??? Crystal method, ice?

So the information SWIM gathered here until now seemed that mdma was a pretty soft drug, but taking into account that you often take meth with it, its just es f**cked up right?

Correct me if im wrong but this makes SWIM lay off the whole MDMA idea... and stick to the good old vodka... SWIM doesnt feel like running around like a junky in 9 months, HE WANTED TO GET INTO HARVARD

50% of pills contain meth? This is news to SWIM. Last he heard the figure was aroudn 3%. Speed as in amphetamines would probably be in a significantly higher percentage of pills though.

Very much depends on SWIY's country. In Europe it is very unlikely you would get a pill with any meth in. Amphetamine on the other hand is fairly common, but it is nothing to worry about as Amphetamine compliments the MDMA high and it is not addictive/life destroying like Methamphetamine.

SWIM thinks he did meth pills once, but he has done pills many times and that was the only one that could have been meth. It didn't fuck him up - he attains high grades and is going to study a reputable subject at a reputable uni. It's not the same as smoking meth out of a crack pipe.

@ inster username, if you take a look at extasydata.org you will find that the pills they list often contain meth.

If swiy is worried, swim advises him simply to try and get "good" pills, rather than the bog-standard that will probably be flying round your town... this reduces the chances.

Or if you can, get pure MDMA powder! its all swim bothers with nowadays.

Excuse me, but your information is incorrect. Meth is methamphetamine - a form of amphetamine differing only by the presence of a methyl (CH3) group on the molecule. Both have nearly identical effect physiologically speaking. While amphetamine is the common molecule of Europa and methamphetamine the common form in the Western Hemisphere, to view amphetamine as something harmless is inviting a disaster.

While one is not likely to end up a "meth junky" from using ecstasy pills that are cut with methamphetamine (or an amphetamine addict, either), it is unfortunate that this stuff is in these. This is one of the problems with prohibition and dealing with a black-market supply.

If you UTFSE (search engine), you will find much on this subject. As well as a relatively simple way of removing meth from pills SWIM may encounter. The best thing would be for SWIM to wait until a source for pure MDMA can be located. It's out there - just under a deeper rock.
