SWIM is a bit surpised because of the time difference but like SWIY its individual but should go away if SWIY would have a tolerance.. (which he should not try to get).. in swim experience many people react especially to codeine with side-effects

SWIM has taken codeine in doses up to 250mg at a time and has never gotten any urinary retention.
He did get extremely constipated though...

I just did a trip report(see codeine experiences sticky) and found it took a little longer to get the flow started at approx 340mgs of codeine, where i usually only do 240-280. took 5-10 seconds to get it going, and seemed to piss for ages, felt so good though!

Strange occurrence SWIM just CWE 240mgs (probably lost 20mgs), feels totally awesome (kind of nicer rush than Suboxone even) and have experienced no urinal retention at all.

SWIM tried to completely empty his bladder before hand (to avoid the problem) but apparently there was still some urine in there after SWIM had taken the codeine. Panicked, but I was fine! Hooray! Pissed again after that and still fine.

SWIM will still always make totally sure his bladder empty before taking codeine, though, because urinary retention is awful and ruins the hit.

By the way, does anyone know if drinking a tiny bit of water just absorbs in the body and doesn't come out your c*ck, cause SWIM's a little thirsty. Fuck I feel great!

Gonna do another 240mgs when SWIM starts to come down.

Shouldn't, as when SWIY is thristy, antidiuretic hormone is released by the pituatury in response, with increases the reuptake of water in the kidneys, leading to more concentrated urine=smaller volume of water in the kidneys. So have a little, just enough to quell his thirst.

SWIM finds redosing in the same day a waste generally though, dosn't do much for him, codeine in itself is a CYP2D6 inhibitor, meaning less of the good stuff AKA morphineeeee, is produced

Swim has only has urinal retention about 3 out of 100 opiate experiences.

Constipation, about 5 out of 100. All from mixing loperamide with drugs of choice.

I find that when this happens the harder you try to piss the harder it will be to piss. In my experience just try to relax and the flow will start... haha

Urinary retention is caused because the smooth muscle of the bladder wall does not relax properly when using some opiates/opioids. Doesn't seem to affect everyone the same - some will get it baaaaad, others will experience a negligible effect.

If one has urinary retention there isn't much to do. Diuretics will just produce more urine and a fuller, more painful bladder (bladders CAN burst, and that is VERY serious).

I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but trust me, you lost waaaaaaaaay more than 20mg.
I'd say your dose was between 180-200 mg.Had you lost 20mg, your yield would have been of 92% which is highly unlikely...
Swim, personally considers 80-85% yield to be extremely good, and he does a pretty good CWE.

When swim first took opiates he got urinary retention for the first couple of days nothing too bad. Now it seems swims tolerance and retention go hand in hand. Never had constipation tho. Maybe a slightly "firmer" stool.

Swim is extremely interested in this too, since he gets constipated really often when taking codeine.
He's experiencing some serious constipation this week specially, since he did codeine for 5 days straight.
The good thing about constipation (vs urinary retention) is that a simple laxative solves the problem.But I think that I read somewhere that someone drank some morphine/anti-diarrhea syrup and had the shit surgically removed

when a special bird that i know first started doing heroin, he had lots of problems with urinal retention and never could take a piss when he wanted too and then it started to hurt but this bird never knew that your bladder could burst like that....crazy shit

Swim gets urinal retention when she takes iboprofen/codiene tablets without CWE. Continues into the next day sometimes. Swim drinks plenty of water at this time to try and flush her kidneys. Swim has now discovered CWE and experiences nil retention.

2 reasons

1. opiates dehydrate you and pull the fluids from your body . ie its equal to sweating your balls off

2. opiates can cause a swollen prostate so that'll mess with your urinary tract and make you not want / able to piss.

SWIMS averaging 600mg of codeine a day recently and has never had constipation, but has gotten some urinary retention in the past few days. SWIM finds just leaning against the wall with one are arm and closes his eyes helps a ton, usually just piss like a waterfall after that. just thought SWIM would put in his bit
