hello, several days ago a "friend" built a contraption for reclaiming THC on the exhale.
Several notes before i begin:
1. Only a vaporizer is being used
2. substance is either high quality sensimilla or hash
3. I posted this on a forum i frequent but i read in the rules no links to other forums so i'm going to remake the whole thing here.

today my buddy and i constructed a contraption we think will recapture THC when we exhale after a vape hit.
So here is how it works:
Take a hit off the vape as usual.
then exhale through the top of a custom tube (labeled 1 on my sweet picture).
the vapor then diffuses through numerous holes punched in the portion submerged in 99% Isopropyl alcohol (labeled 2)
let large amounts of weed go through this process over several weeks.
evaporate the ISO in a tray like regular ISO hash method.

1. Should work shouldn't it?

2. Would their be any dangers resulting from smoking or vaping the results of such process?

Thanks for feedback and i will update to as whether it will work or not unless someone has a definitive answer.

It should work, and its not any more dangerous than smoking isohash...

SWIM just isn't sure how much of the CB / THC are left after a cycle through the lungs.

thats a typical reaction to this experiment, SWIM feels the same way that it should work aswell. SWIM tried figuring out how efficient the lungs are at absorbing vapor but couldn't find any solutions.

One possible issue SWIM has become aware of is the short duration the vapor is in the ISO and whether the duration could potentially make the experiment a failure. SWIM wouldn't think this would be the case because ISO-washes for ISOhash often are only 20 seconds or so, and common sense dictates that vapor would be more readily binding with the ISO than a solid but who know........

I would postulate that the lungs are pretty efficient, though to put a number to this is pretty difficult and I'm sure widely varying.

SWIM has always done isowashes for about an hour and acetone washes for about 30 min... seconds, really?

Vapor will definitely solvate pretty readily, more diffusion is better, as always!



hmmmm.... with that last sentence SWIM realized something that he should have caught earlier...

the picture SWIY drew is of a standard water pipe (with diffuser of course) - just used backwards.

If one used a sick piece with multiple percolators and diffusion (like SWIM's baby http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...ht=sovereignty, even more THC / CB would be reclaimed.

it is infact a custom made piece with over 40 holes so SWIM would say it is diffused very well, but sick glass.
