Health - Constipation and Hydrocodone

Ive been taking hydrocodone for about 2 weeks straight now and havent used the bathroom in that period...I know constipation is one of the side effects of painkillers..but does anybody else get constipated on painkillers?

You havent used the bathroom in 2 weeks? Opioids cause constipation but ive never heard of 2 weeks worth. Its definitely not normal you might want take stool softners to even yourself out.

Two weeks? SWIY is full of shit! haha...but seriously, stimulant laxative. That is all one needs.

SWIM, when on heroin for maybe a week or two, hadn't pooped.
Then one day while walking to work, he experienced INSANELY sharp sensations in his gut, he doubled over and couldn't walk. The pain was so bad it almost brought him to tears. He could barely make it back to his apartment.

Please be safe, SWIM would say to take some laxetives. You do NOT want to end up like he was.

When swim started out on hydro he used to get constipated, but it went away for some reason after a couple of weeks.

SWIY should definately take a stool softener and/or a stimulant laxative! Swim has had times where he doesn't go for a week or two and ends up in a hell of a lotta pain!!!

damn. doesnt sounds good to be constipated for that long. you must feel totaly bloated after every meal!

if swiy plans on taking opiates swim would suggest that swiy take some fiber powder with ceral or a protein shake or something. and maybe a stoll softener during the evening.

luckily swim never experiences any side effects from opiates. no nausea constipation, etc. other than a groggy feeling for a couple hours after it wears off.
