Swim is prescribed to 20 mg amphetamine salts to be taken 3 times a day. He's 6''1 220 pounds. One time he took 600mgs in the course of 2 days. This started the first day he got the scrip. The comedown was a trip through hell but he's been through some rough coke comedowns so he managed withstanding it. The next month he took just 60mgs, which is fine enough when he hasn't had any for a while, then 8-12 hours later he popped another 40mgs, he was up for two days, and the comedown wasn't that bad, but the thing he is worried about are these pains he's getting. First of all his nads feel uncomfortable but not too painful, but a near constant feeling akin to blue balls. There is also the same kind of feeling in the area just above the wank and pelvis area in general. There is also a less frequent stabbing pain to the right of the left hip bone (I think that's what that bone is!) Are these just minor discomforts, or signs of greater problems?

Re: Lower Abdominal and Pelvic Pains after OD
SWIM had the same thing a few months ago, and had to be hospitalized. It started with an unusual twisting of his back, then of his arms, and eventually his face and tongue muscles became tense and he couldn't talk properly. They put SWIM on Benodryl, and after ten minutes everything was fine, and he's been fine ever since. It's called Dystonia.

Re: Lower Abdominal and Pelvic Pains after OD
Hmm, yeah I read about the serious side effects on wiki, but they're vague about it, not really telling what's causing the pain, just that it's a serious side effect. Swim has gotten through the throat thing, it was hard for him to swallow and like some glands or something seemed to be swelling, and when it was worst it seemed like something (big ass vein?) under the skin on his inner thigh was pumping like a heartbeat I guess. Anyway, that shit went away which may have been Dystonia, but something still doesn't feel right in the pelvic area and I was hoping for swim's sake there was more info about the so called serious side effects somewheres and if his body can fix the problem on it's own.

Re: Lower Abdominal and Pelvic Pains after OD
That's called a dystonic reaction. SWIM had that happen when she took compazine. When SWIM took generic methenphetamine those ticks were present but not as bad compared to the compazine episode.
Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder in which sustained muscle contractions cause twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal postures.[1] The disorder may be inherited or caused by other factors such as birth-related or other physical trauma, infection, poisoning (eg. Lead poisoning) or reaction to drugs Last edited by JudgeJudy; 22-04-2008 at 22:42. Reason: Added some info |

Re: Lower Abdominal and Pelvic Pains after OD
Turns out the groin pain was from something pulled in swim's leg during an un-drug related session of violent masturbation. Although, the wondering has scared swim into much more sensible Adderall (or any drug) habits. Thanks for your answers though, Dystonia is a bitch as well.

Re: Lower Abdominal and Pelvic Pains after OD
Violent and masturbation are two words that shouldnt be combined.
