Dose - What's a good dosage of Kava-kava?

My kitty has been reading a lot of reports in anticipation of trying Kava, but she can't get a good idea for what a good dosage would be for a moderately strong to strong effect (as far as kava goes). Some people seem to be making tea from upwards of an ounce of the stuff at once, while some people report good effects from a few ingested grams.

The kitty is thinking of just mixing the powder with a delectable drink and downing it.

The stuff she has is 1oz of "40% Kavalactone Extract" in fine powder form, which, if I'm not mistaken, will be much more potent than regular ground up root?
