Permanent changes from E?

SWIM has taken ecstasy on many occasions over the last 10 years. Now, SWIM taken it only once or twice per year. Now, when SWIM even thinks about taking it or smells or hears anything associated with it, SWIM gets a very strong, pleasant rush in her body. This is accompanied by excitability and giddiness.

Does anyone else's friends have this same effect?

This does happen to a lot of people with a lot of different substances. Certain smells, tastes, and feelings evoke quite a lot of emotional connection when you truely love them.

Re: Permanent changes from E?

^^ tis just a learned response, your body associates those things with that amazing feeling of ecstasy.

You ever heard of Pavlov's dog? A researcher had a dog and he rang a bell, after ringing the bell he fed it food again and again for a period of time. After a while when he rang the bell the dog began to salivate even if no food was present. SWIF had a similar experience with cyclizine and morphine. He was administered cyclizine with morphine for pain for long periods and then when he was given cyclizine alone he felt something similar (albeit not a strong) to a morphine rush.

Learned responses

Re: Permanent changes from E?

Other things--such as natural smells emitted by a certain area of a certain gender--also cause physiological responses (in the form of SWIM Jr.). There is also something I read about injections-sites of heroin that have to do with this. While prepping to inject into a normal injection-site, the body rapidly raises it's tolerance to opioids. If you happen to choose a new injection-site--not knowing of the aforementioned--it is apparently possible to overdose by your body's tolerance remaining low. Neither myself nor SWIM have had experience with heroin, so I cannot confirm nor deny this. Perhaps someone who has a friend who has can tell us about it?

swim thinks this behavior is 100% psycosymatic its all in swiy's head saying that it also happens to swim with a substance to which they consider them selfs addicted but no other that they take.

Re: Permanent changes from E?

SWIMs friend bought a happyhardcore CD around the time of his first or second experience. A couple of days later when SWIM played the same music at home he got rushes and euphoria that were quite intense, although not as intense as the original experience. But was a damn nice feeling.

SWIM always gets that with UK hardcore, this one album in particular, Hardcore Heaven 2 (especially the Brisk and Kevin Energy CDs) evoke a powerful spine tingling sensation. It reminds SWIM of the best pills he ever did and how great it felt listening to those tunes at the time.

yeah SWIM gets this all the time, it always relates to SWIMS memories of rolling, there are certain songs/sayings/smells SWIM will always associates with 'happy days' for the rest of his life and its this that keeps him going through the bad times
