Cracker or Dispenser?

My sloth is having trouble finding a cracker for nitrous bulbs.
He's looked on Ebay and done a few google searches.
It seems that crackers (just the valve) are easy enough to get in America but not in Blighty.

*EDIT* Never mind....

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

Well in Swim's land nobody takes nos any other way except out of the dispensers. The cream whipping machines are easy to get hold of and the bulbs the same. Swim has tried doing it with a baloon and it was way to tedious and way too much effort when swim can just use the machine.

in conclusion if u like nos, get a machine..

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

that thing you have pictured there needs a bottom to work properly.

The bottom is where the no2 expands this helps by not letting you suck it in cold.

Just pay thirty bucks for one and get a punching bag baloon for like two bucks and you will be all gravy

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

So what would my sloth do with his potential stash of chargers and his shiny dispenser?

Use one charger (16g) to fill the dispenser (1l), put a nozzle on the other thing, put the nozzle in his mouth and press the lever?
Hold breath as long as poss?

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

ideallly yes, it would be better to discharge it into a balloon and then inhaling from the balloon directly. Instead of breathing through the nozzle. It's more fun this way too as you can keep breathing in an out on the balloon until you want to stop.

I had the same problem myself.. I just went with the whole cream kit thing it was only about £10 more and no need for balloons!

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

I have to say, the cream charger isn't really getting my sloth very far. Tinnitus and light-headedness yes, but he is yet to have what he calls "an experience" even after 5 16g cartriges.

Curse his hard-headedness.

Rebreathing, using a hand held bag or balloon, will allow for greater absorption and an over all more intense experience. You can also empty more then one cartridge into a balloon. Depending on your tastes and all, just seems that only holding the gas in once is kind of wasteful.

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

a swift reply would be appreciated if anyone can help...

My sloth is going somewhere next week and doesn't want to take his huge 1litre cream dispenser with him. Can anyone point him towards somewhere where he can get a handheld dispenser or valve, online? Just something cheap that will fill balloons.
Thanks in advance.

*EDIT*

Would something like this do the job?

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

Without going into sources swiy could just go by one of his local headshops. They are almost promised to have a small cracker.Just go with a metal one and not a plastic one.Swim made the mistake of getting a plastic one and it broke a few weeks later.

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

One like that would do the job if SWIY has or can get the 16g cartridges rather than the regular 8g type. 16g cartridges usually cost roughly twice as much but also contain twice as much nitrous, they are also bigger in size, thus the need for getting the correct size of cartridge for SWIYs cracker/inflator/dispenser.

Might be an idea to remove the link though, or copy and upload the photo into the post instead!
Peace

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

yes it's the 16g unthreaded that he has.

He was wondering if anybody's used that type though - it looks to me like there's a slit along the underside of the nozzle that would make it hard to inflate a balloon.
going to a headshop is not an option, that's why he was asking for online links.

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

SWIM likes using the whip cream dispenser. It's much easier to explain to family member/anti drug user friend who happen to stop by after a night of nitrous & ecstasy use.

The conversation between SWIM & family member/anti drug user friend could go something like this: "Oh, this?? Haha, my friends & I threw a birthday party for a friend. His favorite dessert is Strawberries & cream [insert other dessert if desired] and I thought having this handy dispenser would be so much easier to use than having to whip the cream myself."
"Why don't you just buy a can of ready whip"
"Have you tasted Redi-Whip? Common! Fresh cream is so much better!"
- end of conversation

One of SWIM's friends had a small cracker, and sadly enough, it cracked after many uses. SWIM & friends have all decided that using the balloons are a must. That way SWIY and company can all enjoy their nitrous experience together while listening to great nitrous music.

SWIM suggests listening to Fluke's song Top of the world. SWIM says it makes for a nice & intense feeling.

From what I've read on other forum topics, it's pretty hard to get a lot of things in the UK that are fairly easy to come by in the US. Nitrous crackers, 99%+ Acetone, and several other things.

I wish SWIY the best of luck on finding a good nitrous cracker & tell SWIY to have a fun trip!

And on a more somber note... I believe that posting links to sources such as online stores is prohibited in the forum. I may be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure thats the rule.

Re: Cracker or Dispenser?

My rat recently tried a brass cracker and although it did the job... it was a pain in the ass. after a box of cartridges the pin fell out... somehow in his state, he managed to flip it just right, and tap it lightly back into the hole when it fell out again... a bit of a pain in the ass when it fell out between filling doubles.

The cracker didn't seem 'aligned'... my rat would miss the pin, and would have to unscrew to readjust the cartridge. The cracker also froze once or twice, if my rat wasn't careful, he could see easily freezing his paw to the cracker.

He has a full pint dispenser on the way, hopefully it works out a little better for him.
