Shadow People

I'm curious,anyone here had any experiences with these?http://paranormal.about.com/library/.../aa022502a.htm these things seem very real to me and I think I may have once encountered one.

i've only experienced light energies. i know of people who have seen dark shadows... 'speed psychosis' or possibly dodgy energies. i'm not in to that. b carefull of what u seeking is my advice... as one invites good energy, one can invite bad energy...

swim did a 21 day straight binge with little sleep its just the drugs or for some reason your brain and eyes are playing tricks on you one weird thing though swim and a freind had daytura and saw the same visions at the same time

Plenty of people not under the influence of any drugs have seen these things though.So it is hard to chalk up this phenomena to drug hallucinations or a vivid imagination.

I was watching that show A Haunting and the episode I saw some woman and her son were in a graveyard hunting ghosts or something and they started seeing shadow people circling them so they left then that night her son got possessed by a demon and all sorts of weird stuff started happening. They said in the show it was because he was using a dowsing rod that he let the demons in.

Plenty of people use dowsing rods and don't get possessed by demons so I don't really believe it. I think that show is propaganda to get people back into religion and the church because in every single episode they have to call the priests in to drive the spirits out.

one time swim was under the influence of approx. 1100mg of dxm and was sitting alone on his bed with the the lights off and he distictly saw a man dressed all in black (black robe, black rimmed hat, no dicernable facial features), he approoached swim carrying a book in his hand. some how i knew the book contained all swims deeds good and bad, swim freaked and ran out of his room and the 'hallucianaition' was not seen again. swim still has an erry feeling that the figure was the grim reaper, which is very weird considering swims an atheisit. swim guesses it was a projection of swims own mind (on alot of dxm) preparing to show him his bad deeds outweight his good and his his life neeeded a turn for the better. it was very spiritual.

smurf also saw this grim reeper on petrol hallucinations on a few occassions many years ago. odd.

I have had experiences of these guys too. Totally sober as well so no swimming..overall feeling is that it's not necessarily positive either but probably think it's some sort of mental construct rather than interdimensional beings. Personally think they could be like Tulpas; totally 'real' but actually created by you as some sort of projection. Someone who isn't me also had the shared, simultaneous, hallucination experience while wasted with a pal in amsterdam. Saw a huge bolt of lightning cross a canal and touch both buildings, then both saw this figure/shape 'pointing the way' to a taxi rank full of taxis which literally melted away as soon as they approached them. Street was deserted then, two very sober and freaked out people remained..

Hi, Swim just wanted to point out a phenomenon known as "Shadow people" which swim has experienced with and without drugs.Shadow people are like 3d shadows that have a humanoid shape but in most cases (like swim's case)
are seen as tiny 1/2 to 1 meter tall creatures with some kind of robe that covers their body and their head(like a raincoat).Swim saw the same type of creature twice, once when he was 10 (obviously without any drugs) and once when he was 16 (on diphenhydramine) and doing some research he found out that a lot of people were seeing the same thing so swim wanted to know if any of swiy had a similar experience and if so please post it.

Yes, SWIM has seen these "shadow people" whenever he's been up for longer than 24 hours and is strung out on uppers

For SWIM it happened when he was 10.He woke up in the middle of the night and immediately saw a 1/2 meter shadow appear from the tv (like it was behind it and went through it).It would appear from the tv, "slide" to his sisters bed, stop in the corner of her bed as if "stuck", and continue towards swim and disapear right in his face.It did this 3 or 4 times until it just didn't appear again after disappearing in swim's face.
Swim was frozen for about 30 minutes from fear...creepy

Usually in the corner of his eye. This past winter after work SWIM used to drive around his subdivision at midnight or so during heavy snowfall, smoke a couple bowls and listen to music. On some particularly dark nights SWIM would see what looked like small shadow people dashing full speed across lawns and into the road. The people looked completely real until SWIM got closer and they faded into the snow.

When SWIM is strung out, he usually only sees shadow people in his peripheral vision. For instance, when he's turning his head for some reason he'll often jump a mile because he thinks there's a person standing there, but realizes there's no one there.

Interesting, if swiy feels like it he can type "Shadow people" in google and find a lot of information about it.Also read some erowid experiences with diphenhydramine and some contain sightings of shadow people...
After what happened to swim he wants to find out more about this.

Ah, as a side note to that, SWIM has abused diphenhydramine on several occasion. Once he was careless and idiotic enough to consume 20 sleeping pills just for the hell of it. His peripheral vision was full of shadows, making SWIM extremely nervous. He also experienced whispery auditory hallucinations. The "high" was extremely uncomfortable and probably not far from lethal.

Swim has often heard the term "shadow people" affiliated with amphetamine psychosis.

He certainly saw shadow people himself while taking zolpidem.

actually, ontherooftops, even tho amphetamine psychosis might have some similar effects i'm not talking about seeing shadow move in the corner of your eye.I'm talking about something with a perfectly defined shape an texture, coming up to my face 3 times without even taking any drugs which leads me to believe that there's something more to it than "amphetamine psychosis" or "drug-induced hallucinations".
I rally think that some type of drugs may unlock a part of the brain that we might still know nothing about, which would explain why so many different people see this "shadow people" with and without any drugs...

Swim actually already posted another thread on this without seeing that it was already here...
Anyways swim had and experience with shadow people when he was ten(no drugs, of course ).He woke up in the middle of the night only to see a 1/2 meter 3 dimensional shadow with some type of robe covering his body and head (like a raincoat) appear from the tv set, "slide" to swim's sister's bed, stay in the corner of her bed as if "stuck", like trying to get through it but unable to and then finally sliding towards swim and disappearing right in swim's face.It did this 3 or 4 times and then stopped appearing.
it was the creepiest experience in swim's life

Phaze would like the people who see these to take a picture. Also don't be scared of them, take a picture and ask them if they want to party with you. See if they wanna chill for a little while, turn the light on and see how they like light.

Invite some friends over aswell. See if everybody can see them.

They probably don't like meth to well, so don't offer them any. But just chill out with them.


That is, if you have any more experiences with these "paranormal" creatures. Let's bust this one wide open.

One time, when i was a child, i got up out of my bed and beat my "buddy" doll to death, at 10 years old. I killed him with a golf club and when my mother came to see wtf was up i told her he was trying to kill me. I pulled his hair out and set him on fire with gasoline. I tryed mixing train oil (3 in 1 oil) all over him and it just smoked real bad. I thought i saw a shadow person, which was the buddy doll which looked like chucky so i murdered that bitch.

yeah smurf has come across alot of people who have seen these 'shadow people.' these people mostly friends have been on amphetamines & had lack of sleep when they have seen these shadows.

the amphetamines have left these shadows in a friends mind for a long time too, even after stopping for over a year. he knows it's his mind though.

smurf has never seen these shadows, even after alot of meth & lack of sleep. peoples minds have different things going on etc...

not to say smurf does'nt believe in 'ghosts' but to see them hmm i dont know?

quick question regarding these swimmers that see these shadow people... can these swimmers see fractals whilst on any thing? cos smurfs friend never sees fractals yet he sees shadow people, where as the smurfs see fractals & only a little shadows now & then from lack of sleep.

I would have to type it by hand, which I am unwilling to do both out of laziness and my feeling that these wonderful people should not be defrauded of their copyright, when Sasha has already so incredibly generously allowed the chemistry portions of the books to be freely distributed.

I am tired now but hopefully I will remember and come back to the thread to discuss what she had to say, which if i remember correctly had to do with physical manifestations of personal demons after taking psychedelics.

SWIM is not sure what swiy means by fractals, but when swim saw the shadow person right in front of him, he was not on anything and had slept just fine...
