this is a guide for those who wish to quit in home, what you will need, is some form of Benzo, Aspirin or equivalent, Valerian root ( herbal sedative, legal any health food store) Melatonin the 3 mg kind or higher(also safe, herbal and legal), even with worst withdrawl symptons taking 6 or 9 miligrams will knock you out about an hour after ingestion even if only for a couple of heavenly hours if you're symptoms are really bad, or all night if you're not that bad, as long as you got a Valerian or a Benzo to help you keep still for 5 minutes, also you can take it during the day and fall asleep, and again at night without being too hyperactive from sleeping during the day. for food consumption, Jello and lots of it. Sooths the stomache, easy to eat,its pure protein (suprisingly) and good for bones and teeth, and thus good for you and great for withdrawls. also if you ca get it buspirone for restless legs. and also very helpful is Clonidine somebody's grandmother makes frequent trips to mexico so somebody had access to that which not everyone will. but there you go, at home and the least painful thing. I made this, because I didn't see anybody even mention melatonin, i'm not going to explain it here, go to wikipedia, but it is god's gift to junkies trying to quit. if you have nothing else, melatonin and aspirin ( and hopefully valerian too), you can get both at any grocery store and for sure at a health store completely legal easy to obtain. makes it SOOOO much easier

one more thing, vitamins and lots of them, particularly vitamin B complex with lots of niacin to strip the shit out faster

Re: guide for quiting

Melatonin??? Come on. With serious heroin withdrawal being untreated (e.g., no clonidine), nothing short of a huge dose of benzos or barbituates will help someone sleep. Melatonin may help with a small habit, but that is even debatable.

If it worked for SWIY, it was most-definitely placebo effect.

3 year habit, almost everyday, and at least 7 nickle bags a day. I wouldn't call that a small habit. and somebody quit in home, cold turkey this week, in fact, today is the last day of serious withdrawl, my stomach still hurts bad and goosebumbs up the ass. heh I'm taking a trip out to the D saturday for one last big bang, spend like 150 and be done with it. But melatonin taken at 10 at night, combined with a even .5 xan or a dozen valerian root at 1.6% valerianic acid will knock you out, even if only till 1 in the morning, and then repeat the process. like I said, alot of it will FOR SURE work even if just for a couple hours when somebody can't take being awak anymore

no matter what physical symptoms you're going through, melatonin will just make your brain fall asleep, night 2 somebody was tossing and turning and puking and took 9 mg, didn't work, took another 3 mg, so at 12, on the worst night, when I was moving constantly at some point somebody just fell asleep, don't even remember closing someone's eyes, and was out for a good 4 hours

ANd while clonidine helps sooth that part of the brain freaking out, it also lowers blood pressure, which for me is one of worst symptoms, the constant blood pumping and the burning that comes along with under the skin. Aspirin or Ibuprofen (blood thinning agents) help in large doses. I never posted this as a means for painless withdrawl. but a guide for those who don't have access to much else, or any choice but to quit in home

Re: guide for quitting opioids

You're right--the combination of Valerian Root, Melatonin, and Advil PM will give one going through withdrawal at least a few hours of sleep--but I didnt like the part of your post where you said Im going to go spend 150 and be done with it. You wrote this 10 days ago--I'm having my doubts it was just that one time....

Re: guide for quitting opioids

Nothing wrong with wishful thinking, thats the first step in stopping, takes a lot of wishful thinking and stopping before you finally quit.
