Just curious......IV dilaudid comparable to Heroin?

Swim was in the hospital for a week last year for a really bad mastoiditis infection. She received IV dilaudid every 2 hours for the duration. Swim says it was absolutely the best feeling ever, EVER. The week after discharge was unbearable, withdrawal city.

Swim heard dilaudid was like heroin in some ways...or maybe many, swim doesn't remember. Is that true? Swim never wants to go through that withdrawal again and doesn't fancy trying heroin, really just curious.

Yes the initial rush of both drugs are very good so in that respect it would be similar. Also the buzz will be good on both as well.

the rush is similiar as said before, but the afterpart is much different, with respect to the 15 minute 'rush only' given from dilaudid

dilaudid is like 2 times more powerful than heroin. swim remembers when he shot 2mg of dilau, the rush was much more intense than heroin. as dilau (eigths) are much more cheaper than heroin (where i live) i prefer them. but they're hard to find in these times....

as for H, the feeling is a little more euphoric and it has a longer duration.

Hmm, I have never heard of really suffering from THAT bad of withdrawal symptoms after only a week of narcotics. SWIM must have had a very low tolerance to the drug(s). Wouldn't that have discharged you with a script or two for pain medication, seeing that most hospitals do that, especially if SWIM was on an IV.

Swim knows not of the pleasures IV Dilaudid...Strange though swim had nothing to today and 4 4mg Dillys fell out of the sky and landed on his computer desk along with 4 Fent patches....wierd to say the least. Swim is very familiar with IV administation As a medic on an Ambulance ya do this alot...Swim dosen't belive in changing a route of administration if the current one seems to be effective.But most IV users swim runs into prefer Dilaudid over herion...comedown is a little better.....and alot add oxy to the shot to give it some legs.......OH most of them do not like Narcan...But I would rather wake someone up so that they could walk down four flights of stairs-----than have swim have to carry them ...........Sad but True

SWIM was off dope for 10 years, then hospitalized for a while with 2mg dilaudid every 4 hours for a week. Screwed that whole clean & sober thing up nice, SWIM was driving through the old haunts the day after he was discharged, and most of the decade since...

Dillies used to be available at a long-closed DC street market 24/7, and many, many swims preferred them to the balloons of dope for sale a few blocks away. Not only because of the preferred effect, but because it was felt safer to use pills that had known contents as opposed to a bag of who-knows-what? SWIM found out later that the perfect-appearance Ds were most often made in Puerto Rican counterfeit shops instead of diverted like all the SWIs thought. Today, SWIM will jump all over D if it can be found, but day-to-day dopesick must be kept off with vitamin H simply because of marketplace matters.
